OFFICE CLOSED 9/21/23

Due to electrical maintenance, our office will be without electricity, phones, or internet on Thursday, September 21, 2023, so we will be closed.

For urgent needs that day, you may page the provider by calling the Physicians Exchange at 316-262-6262. For prescription refills, please call your pharmacy. For non-urgent needs, you may email hello@drmeans.org.

Our office will be closed 12/22/22 due to expected severe winter weather.

We will be closed 12/23/22 through 12/26/22 for Christmas, and 12/30/22 through 1/2/23 for New Years.

If you have called your pharmacy to request a refill and they have not heard back from our office, please call us! Our eprescribing software was updated last week, and we are not receiving all of the pharmacy requests. Thank you for your patience as our software provider works to fix this.

The office will be closed today due to inclement weather and poor road conditions. We plan to return to the office for normal hours on Friday (9am to 12pm).

The office will be closed Monday, February 15th due to inclement weather. Stay home if you are able, or wear a hat, gloves, and lots of layers if you must go out. Take a blanket (or two) and water & snacks in your vehicle if you have to leave home.

If you were scheduled for an appointment today, we have left you voicemail notifying you, and will call you tomorrow from the office to reschedule.

EDIT: The phones at our office and the surrounding area are down, meaning it's not currently possible to leave a voicemail. Urgent medical needs of current patients can be addressed by paging Dr. Means through the Exchange by calling 316-262-6262.

Thanksgiving is next week! If you celebrate, please take precautions to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and protect your loved ones.

We will be closed Wednesday, November 25th through Sunday, November 29th to allow our staff time to rest, recuperate, and spend time with their households. Stay safe and take good care!

Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine, but getting vaccinated too early in the season can leave you more vulnerable to influenza later in the flu season (March to May).
It's recommended to get vaccinated later in September or in October to ensure you have coverage for as much of the flu season as possible.

Vaccination to prevent influenza is particularly important for people who are at high risk of serious complications from influenza.
