Metaphysical meaning of understanding (rw)

"Understanding: God {you & God are 1} is supreme knowing. That in man which comprehends is understanding; it knows and comprehends in wisdom. Its comparisons are not made in the realm of form, but in the realm of ideas. It knows how to accomplish things. Spiritual discernment reveals that knowledge and intelligence are auxiliary to understanding.

There are two ways of getting understanding. One is by following the guidance of Spirit that dwells within, and the other is to go blindly ahead and learn by hard experience.

Intellectual understanding of Truth is a tremendous step in advance of sense consciousness, and its possession brings a temptation to use for selfish ends the wisdom and power thereby revealed.

Spiritual understanding is the quickening of the Spirit within. Spiritual understanding is the ability of the mind to apprehend and realize the laws of thought and the relation of ideas one to another."

In observantion of JUNETEENTH:

This day means so much more than freedom of enslaved people. It is the demolition of an attempt to own, enslave, and dominate a group of human beings for the sake of status, wealth, and control. It was a first step in recognizing the humanity, uniqueness, and WORTHINESS of people what have been oppressed and abused.

Today we remember this action of freedom expressed. It is also a call to make steps and commitments RIGHT NOW to never allow ourselves to be silent in the face of oppression, abuse, and the attempt to enslave people by work, exile, internment, or simply in thought.

Let us remember we are one in the Spirit of God, the Presence of Love, and in the fabric of humanity. Love, peace, grace, and freedom are our inherent gifts in all ways. We affirm this today, hold the intention for tomorrow, and learn from yesterday. And so it is!
