Meet our newest therapist, Crystal Hanna:
"I received my B.A. with a major in Strategic Communication and minor in Cultural Anthropology from Wichita State University and a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. I have always been interested in finding ways to communicate and connect across cultures, religions and languages. My previous work experience has been in childcare as well as various volunteering positions at non-profits.

I use a trauma-informed scope, and use Somatic practices in order to heal trauma stored in the body. I focus on creating a safe place to reprogram the nervous system. Some of my therapy experience includes: working with those affected by a family member with a personality disorder, complex trauma, codependency, infertility, parenting life cycles, marriage, single parenting, adjustment to new seasons of life, and those affected by religious trauma. Therapies I use most are IFS, Attachment-based, Narrative therapy, Mindfulness practices, and brain-based therapies.

A big part of my personal story has been working through the pain of many years of infertility issues. I learned that these vulnerable places can be our opportunities to find ourselves. It was through the mind/body connection, along with IFS therapy, that I began to find Self and find a passion for body-based practices. I have a passion for supporting those who are working through infertility struggles.

Wherever you are in your journey, it would be an honor to come alongside and support you."

Hello therapists, providers, and community leaders!please join us to learn about both Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Functional Psychiatric Med Management. And to build deeper connections in the community. Healing takes a team of people providing support.

We have found that stuck clients/patients are getting movement in their journeys in ways they couldn't with other modalities. We will be sharing real stories from people we have been working with throughout the time together. By the time you leave, we hope you will have a better understanding of what Ketamine can do for clients/patients used in a variety of ways, what functional psychiatric med management is and is not and who it is best suited for, and lastly --to connected with colleagues in the Wichita area.

Please bring all your questions as we will have an interactive gathering.

Meet Aubrey Smith, LMFT

I have lived in Kansas all of my adult life, but spent my childhood/adolescent years in the heartland of Iowa. My early career consists of working in youth ministry as a music minister and youth leader. I earned my B.S. in Christian Ministry in 2013. After a few years in ministry, I transitioned to the world of higher education where I earned my M.A. in Entrepreneurial Ministry Leadership. This degree allowed me to focus my studies on supporting individuals in the human service profession to manage their own compassion fatigue.
Ironically, after the birth of my first child, I began experiencing my own compassion fatigue– this is when I first became aware of my own trauma. Through the compassion and guidance of a Marriage and Family Therapist, I began healing from complex PTSD via Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems– it was the most powerful, and accelerated healing I have experienced to date. I became fascinated by psychology, the brain and its ability to rewire and heal; which led me to earn my M.S. degree in Family Therapy from Friends University in 2023.
I believe healing comes in many forms, but happens best when experienced in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I use Internal Family Systems and attachment based perspectives in my practice to help people in all walks of life. My experience includes working with individuals (ages 13 and up) facing grief, complex PTSD, religious trauma, couple-conflicts, narcissistic abuse, blended family dynamics, life transitions, postpartum depression/anxiety, and other mental health concerns. I consider it an honor to come alongside clients wherever they find themselves in their story.

once upon a time
before the shame
and the sin
you were a cartwheel

hair flying
in full tumble
throwing yourself
with mad delight
into the arms of

wind and spirit

once upon a time
before the shame
and the sin
you were a starkeeper

your wishes alone
kept the stars aloft
in a velvet sky
of invitation
and belonging

you knew the sylvan
truth of fireflies
and trailed their
golden lantern path
over silvered meadow
into to the lullaby
of fairyland

the moon was a
grandmother from a tale
you still remembered
watching over your every move
look! you said. Look!
everywhere we go
the moon follows us

all the way home

once upon a time
before the shame
and the sin
acorns wore goblin hats
trees were secret keepers
clouds formed sky puppets
butterflies and honey bees
were emissaries of otherwhere
guarding the old stories
adults had already

forgotten
to remember

once upon a time
before the shame
and the sin
you moved through
the world like it was
your back yard

elbows made of frolic
knees made of wonder
fingers and toes a whirl
of color and possibility

your mind was full of
neverland
and your heart was full
of Oz
your body was still
a playground
and a confidant
and a friend

remember her?

she got lost somewhere
between the shame
and the sin
but she’s still
there

cartwheel smile
moonbeam soul
fairy tale girl
in love with
her own life

in love with you
b***y and soul

she’s still in there
daring
brazen

wild with
possibility

let’s
go
get
her
