ILRC celebrated something very special today - the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)! 🥳👏 Attendees enjoyed lunch, a proclamation from Mayor Lily Wu, and two very special presentations...

Little Miss Wheelchair Kansas, Mia Gaumer, bravely told us her story. We also heard from Miss Wheelchair Kansas, Autumn Bertels, who recently graduated from The University of Kansas with a degree in Molecular Cellular Developmental Biology. She discussed accessibility issues and future standards.

Thank you to our amazing staff, presenters, consumers, and all who attended this incredible milestone that helps ensure equal rights and opportunities for individuals with disabilities. 🤗

Our Medical Equipment Recycling Network (MERN) offers a wide range of medical supplies including adult briefs, walkers, wheelchairs, commodes, and more at no cost to our consumers.
