Did you know we offer Peer Support classes? Peer to Peer provides the chance to meet and gain support from others, as well as socialize with peers. Classes are offered in groups or individually, and are based on each person’s needs. 🫶

ILRC was proud to host all 8 Centers for Independent Living from across Kansas yesterday! Attendees included 63 Independent Living Training staff members and Paula McElwee, a trainer from California. Paula works for Independent Living Research Utilization (ILRU) as their Independent Living Director of Technical Assistance.

It was an honor to work together towards our mission of empowerment, and thank you to all who attended! 🤗🙌

This year, our organization was able to launch our brand new Junior Miss Wheelchair Kansas program! This would not have been possible without the support of two wonderful sponsors! First, we want to thank the Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC).

The Independent Living Resource Center, out of Wichita, helps people with disabilities reach their goals by providing peer support, independent living skills training and other resources.
