Wellness Wednesday
Move Your Body, Boost Your Brain

Did you know that gentle movement is one of the best ways to support brain health?

Try These Cognitive-Friendly Exercises:

🚶‍♀️ Walk & Talk – Take a short walk while chatting with a friend. Conversation + movement strengthens memory pathways.

🪑 Seated Cross-Body Taps – While seated, tap your right hand to your left knee and alternate. This helps both sides of the brain communicate.

🎵 Movement to Music – March in place or sway to your favorite song.
Stay Aware:
Occasional forgetfulness is normal. Pay attention if you notice:
• Frequently misplacing items
• Trouble following conversations
• Difficulty completing familiar tasks

What You Can Do:
✔ Stay socially connected
✔ Move daily (even 5–10 minutes helps!)
✔ Share concerns early with your healthcare provider
Your brain loves movement and every step counts!

Lions and tigers and… hissing cockroaches!?🪳It’s been too chilly to visit our neighbors down the road, so Sedgwick County Zoo came to us!! Together we explored the animals who call Africa home and talked all things conservation! We even made some new friends along the way, including the very friendly and photogenic ball python, Nyoka. 🐍🦁🦒🐘
