About Dr. Bethany J. King

Bethany King, MD completed her undergraduate training at Tulane University in New Orleans. She then attended the Louisiana State University Medical School, also in New Orleans, where she graduated with honors, being conferred membership into the AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society). Her postgraduate training continued with a general surgery internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, followed by completion of residency training in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the nationally recognized ENT training program at the University of Iowa. Following two years in private practice working as an ENT in Massachusetts, she then pursued a AAFPRS fellowship in facial plastic surgery at the highly respected Glasgold Group in Highland Park, NJ, with an emphasis on cosmetic surgery. She is now double board certified in both an ENT surgery as well as in Facial Plastic Surgery.

Prior to coming to Kansas, Dr. King worked in New Hampshire where she actively practiced both ENT and facial plastic surgery. During that time, she became a master at skin care, minimally-in-invasive treatments such as fillers, Botox, chemical peels and laser. She built an extensive practice of treating skin lesions, both benign and malignant, applying her plastic surgery training in the reconstructing of the defects caused by their removal.

Initially, Dr. King moved from New Hampshire to Overland Park expressly for the experience of working with SonoBello where she was able to perform more than 100 facelifts in the first year alone. The procedures were accomplished using only light sedation with tumescent local anesthesia. Such a frequency is not likely to be found with other surgeons in the region. In the physically skilled art of surgery, experience is the path to successful outcomes and high patent satisfaction. The more often a surgeon performs a procedure, the more certain are the hands doing the performing.

Also, while at SonoBello, Dr. King was personally trained in the art and science of liposuction by the nationally-renowned Dr. Michael Gellis. She has since went on to perform approximately 500 liposuction and/or mini-tummy tuck cases over the last 18 months with beautiful results and very high patient satisfaction.
