Two of the therapists in our provider alliance will be speaking at Friends University this Friday!

A value that many of our providers hold dearly is educating others on eating disorders and perinatal mental health. This gives other providers the ability to correctly treat, know when to refer out, and feel more confident in their practice.

There’s a lot to know when it comes to eating disorder care! It’s important that have an eating disorder trained provider for many reasons, here’s a few ways you can vet a possible provider! Showing that they work with eating disorders on psychology today is not the same as actually specializing in it! It’s confusing, but we hope this is a helpful start in navigating treatment.

If you’re a provider who doesn’t feel super confident working with eating disorders, that’s ok! Know when it’s appropriate to refer out, don’t feel compelled to add it to your areas of specialty because it brings in clients, and ask us about trainings! We are happy to share our resources we used to learn!

Keep growing, keep learning, and keep practicing within your scope!

Another member of the group practice, Flexible Nutrition, is now also apart of The Village provider alliance!! Welcome Shana!!!

Shana is a joy to work with (this isn’t just coming from clients, we think she’s pretty awesome too 😉) and does amazing work!

Shana and the rest of the Flexible Nutrition crew are located at The Village’s new main office. It’s been so great to collaborate more conveniently this way!
