When a family member is drinking too much, using drugs your
support can be key to getting them the treatment they need. Starting the conversation is the first step to getting help.

How You Can Help
1. IDENTIFY AN APPROPRIATE TIME AND
PLACE. Consider a private setting with limited
distractions, such as at home or on a walk.
2. EXPRESS CONCERNS AND BE DIRECT.
Ask how they are feeling and describe the
reasons for your concern.
3. ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR FEELINGS AND
LISTEN. Listen openly, actively, and without
judgement.
4. OFFER TO HELP.
Provide reassurance that substance use disorders are treatable. Help them locate and connect to treatment services.
5. BE PATIENT.
Recognize that helping your loved one doesn’t happen overnight. Continue reaching out with offers to listen and help.

According to Mentoring, Education and Clinical Tools For Addiction; research shows that - " Methadone may be preferable to buprenorphine for patients who are at RISK of treatment drop-out and subsequent FENTANYL OVERDOSE. METHADONE should also be CONSIDERED AS FIRST OPTION for patients who have done well on Methadone in the past, patients who do not want or have not benefited from buprenorphine; and patients for whom buprenorphine induction has not been successful.

🎯Fentanyl, He**in Use Substantially Decline In Patients Receiving Methadone Treatment For Opioid Use Disorder During First Year:

📣💚😀A new study led by a Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health researcher found that the percent of patients treated for opioid use disorder with methadone significantly decreased their use of fentanyl during a year of treatment. The percent who tested positive for fentanyl declined on average from 21.8 percent in week one to 17.1 percent in week 52.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I really love this place, I have been here for years and they are all great! This program works and has allowed me to still go to work and leave behind any and all anxiety of withdrawals or getting what I need to prevent withdrawal. Steve is absolutely fantastic.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This is BY FAR the best clinic in Wichita! Its professional, its clean and the counselors are non judgemental.. The owner Steve is fair and helpful and has a great personality. I have been to the other clinics and they are trashy and the staff look down at us patients...I also prefer that I can get 10mg pills instead of liquid, and they offer the wafers...Wish they would open another branch out West!
