Your use of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (“PMMA”) social media channels by non-employees is subject to these terms of use and the terms of use of the social media platform from which you accessed these Terms of Use. The PMMA, Aberdeen Village, Lawrence Presbyterian Manor, Salina Presbyterian Manor, Topeka Presbyte

rian Manor and Wichita Presbyterian Manor pages (collectively social media channels) are social media locations for online community members to connect to and learn about PMMA through information, pictures, and video concerning initiatives, programs and campus life. Our goal is to provide useful and interesting content about our company and foster an open and respectful dialogue relating to the specific issues and topics covered in our posts and other multi-media. PMMA reserves all rights relating to the company’s non-employee social media channels, including but not limited to (i) adding, removing or modifying any content; (ii) blocking disruptive users; and (iii) discontinuing any of our social media channels at any time. Discussion of medical and health topics should never be construed as medical advice. You are advised to contact a health care professional in your area if you need medical advice. For the privacy of users and their families, please be advised that all postings to PMMA’s sponsored sites will be publicly available on the Internet and therefore publicly accessible without limitation or protection of any kind. With the understanding that this information may be linked to your name and published on the Internet, please consider how much personal information to share. PMMA may, in its sole discretion, delete irresponsible content or content that is otherwise inconsistent with the organization’s mission or the purpose of the PMMA social media channels; namely, dissemination and sharing of on-topic, appropriate content. To the extent applicable, PMMA reserves the right to block any user that fails to follow these Terms of Use. Examples of inappropriate or off-topic messages include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Defamatory, malicious, obscene, intimidating, discriminatory, harassing or threatening comments or hate propaganda;
• Calls to violence of any kind;
• Activity that violates any local, state or federal law or regulation;
• Attempts to target PMMA or PMMA Followers to offer or sell goods or services, of either a commercial or private nature;

• Content that includes medical advice that may be unsolicited and/or unverified;
• Any potential infringement upon any intellectual property rights, including but not limited to, brand names, trade names, logos, copyrights or trade secrets of any person, business or place;
• Content posted by fake or anonymous users; and
• Other content deemed to be off-topic or to disrupt the purposes of the channel, its Followers, and its sense of community and acceptance. Our social media channels are not the appropriate place to resolve issues, complaints or suggestions of non-employees about individual service experiences or our campuses. This does not mean we do not want to hear about such issues, but these concerns are best handled by the leadership on each campus. If you’re interested in sharing comments or feedback outside the scope of these channels, you can send a message through the “Contact Us” tab at PresbyterianManors.org or any campus website. Comments may be forwarded to other PMMA departments and personnel to ensure appropriate follow-up. Please keep in mind that PMMA does not create, control, represent, or endorse any opinions or statements expressed by others within its social media channels, including those that Follow/Like PMMA and those Followed/Liked by PMMA and that any content posted by anyone other than PMMA is the responsibility of the submitter and not PMMA. Links which take you out of our social media channels, websites and digital assets are not under the control of PMMA, and PMMA is not responsible for the terms and conditions, privacy policy or content of any such site or any further links from such site. PMMA is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement of the linked site by PMMA. Also, please keep in mind that if PMMA follows another user’s account, “likes” another page, “favorites,” shares or otherwise re-posts another user’s content, such an action does not constitute endorsement. You should understand that content you submit to our social media channels is public and will not place PMMA under any obligation to you. This means PMMA is free to disclose and use the ideas contained in content on a non-confidential basis to anyone without any liability to you. You should also not use PMMA’s social media channels to submit unsolicited ideas. You agree that by posting content on our social media channels, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit and display and distribute such content in any and all media or distribution methods now known or later developed. Further, by submitting content you represent and warrant to PMMA that you are the sole owner of the content and that PMMA’s use of the content will not violate the rights of any third party, including, but not limited to copyright rights; and that you will defend and hold PMMA harmless from any and all claims arising therefrom. By submitting content you waive any right to inspect or approve of such uses and agree to hold harmless PMMA and all others identified above from any and all claims you, your heirs, executors or assigns may at any time have against PMMA on account of the granting of the license or arising out of PMMA’s use of the content. While not all dementia can be prevented, healthy habits may support overall brain health.

Physical activity, meaningful social connections, nutritious meals, and continued learning all play a role in cognitive wellness.

Within PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®) communities, engagement and purpose are woven into daily life — because well-being involves the whole person.

At some point during our lives, each of us has someone who inspires or changes us for the better, and often for life. Our Living Legacies Tribute Program provides you with a unique opportunity to give to others, while simultaneously honoring the life of a friend or loved one.

Tributes provide an opportunity to:
• Memorialize a life well lived
• Celebrate a birthday or anniversary
• Say "thank you" to a friend or family member
• Recognize the good deeds of a friend or associate
• Mark a special occasion

When you choose to establish a tribute or memorial through PMMA, you will select exactly how your gifts will be utilized to sustain our mission.

Dementia diagnosis typically involves a combination of medical evaluation, cognitive assessments, and a review of medical history.

If concerns arise, beginning with a primary care physician is a helpful first step.

Clarity provides direction. And direction provides reassurance.

If your family has questions about what comes next, we are here as a resource.

When families begin conversations early, they create space for shared decision-making.

Early planning often reduces stress and allows individuals to express their wishes clearly.

At PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®), we walk alongside families as they explore options — offering information, not pressure.

Thoughtful preparation is one of the greatest gifts families can give each other.
