🐾 Happy National Doggy Day! 🐾

Today we celebrated with our 2nd Annual Community Dog Fashion Show, and it was PAW-sitively amazing! From stylish outfits to wagging tails, our furry friends stole the spotlight and brought so much joy to everyone.

Hamburger took home first place, dressed as nothing less, a HAMBURGER!

A HUGE shoutout to The Center at Waterfront for our participant doggy bags, everyone went home a winner!

Thank you to all the pups (and their humans) who joined in the fun your energy and excitement made this day unforgettable!

Yesterday, we had the joy of celebrating National Senior Citizens Day here at Sedgwick Plaza! Our community came alive with music, movement, and laughter thanks to the incredible performance from Amira Dance Productions and Senior Services, Inc. of Wichita for providing root beer floats.

We are so grateful for the moments shared, the smiles created, and the reminder that our seniors’ lives truly matter. Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring and uplifting the amazing seniors who make our community shine! ✨👵👴💃🕺

What an amazing time we had at our Back-to-School Drive here at Sedgwick Plaza! From the laughs at the dunk tank to the smiles at the picture booth provided by Home Instead. But do you remember we also set a goal to collect the first 50 supplies for water ballooning the leaders to the next 50 pie in the face to directors?

Watch our video to see the messy fun of pie in the face, the joy that the dunk tank brought and the laughs from the little water bombs! Every moment was absolutely worth it when it’s all for such a great cause. 💙📚

Our residents, families, and staff came together with so much energy and heart to make sure local students are ready for a successful school year. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and cheered us on—your support truly makes a difference! 🙌✨

Today, it was our Executive Directors turn to take our Woot Woot Wagon around to our associates — and this time, we went full Y2K throwback.

We rolled through with Ring Pops, Dunkaroos, Kool-Aid Jammers, and even a few modern favorites. The snacks were fun, but the real magic was in the connection — the smiles, the laughter, and the nostalgia that sparked conversations.

One of Samantha’s favorite moments? Hearing residents laugh at how excited she was over this throwback… because joy is contagious.

These small acts of appreciation remind our associates that they’re seen, valued, and supported — and that feeling flows right into the care and community we create together.

🎉 We Did It! Goal Achieved! 🎉

We set a challenge to collect enough school supplies to meet our donation goal for Spaght Science and Communications Magnet we all rose to the occasion! ✏️

Huge shout out to Home Instead for donating the 50 school supplies we needed to make this happen!

This success was fueled by motivation, teamwork, and a shared passion to make a difference for the students who need it most.

👏 A huge shout-out to every willing participant who made this happen from those who donated, to those who encouraged others, to the brave souls who volunteered as “pie targets.” You all turned a goal into a fun, unforgettable moment of giving back! 💛

Our Back-to-School Supply Drive was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our community, Sedgwick Plaza received an incredible amount of donations to help local students start the year right.

A special thank you to Home Instead for partnering with us and making this possible. The supplies were delivered to Spaght Science and Communications Magnet, and they were truly grateful to receive them for children in need. Together, we’ve made a difference for our future leaders! 💛📚

🎉 Wheel of Fun was A Huge Hit! 🎉

Yesterday was a blast as our residents tossed their way through laughs and cheers during the Wheel of Fun Toss Game! From trivia to surprise prizes, everyone got in on the action and the smiles said it all. 😊
This is what community interaction is all about: sharing moments, making memories, and just having fun together. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make it such a joyful day!

🎒 Grateful Hearts & Full Backpacks! 🎒

A huge THANK YOU to Home Instead for co-hosting our Back-to-School Bash with us at Sedgwick Plaza! Events like these remind us that when community partners come together, we can make a difference far beyond our own walls.

Because of the generosity and teamwork from Home Instead and so many of our amazing community partners, the students at Spaght Elementary will be starting the school year with the supplies they need to succeed. Through our Graceful Giving program, we’re committed to not only serving our residents but enriching the entire Wichita community — and this fundraiser is a perfect example of that mission in action.

Special shout-out to those who dropped off school supplies at Sedgwick Plaza tonight.
