Amy is just one of the individuals we serve at Starkey who got to enjoy a spot at our Exhale spa fundraiser last Friday and Saturday because we had generous donors who purchased a few spots and donated them. Thank you to Beau Monde West Spa for dedicating their business to this event for two entire days, and to Copp Media Services for being the host sponsor that makes it possible. Our Community Living Program has 40 group homes and two apartment buildings, so it's expansive - but also personal. Whether we are teaching someone to do laundry, getting ready to celebrate a birthday, styling hair, heading to a ball game or preparing a favorite dinner, we take pride in meeting each individual's needs and celebrating their unique personalities.

First day at a brand new job! 🎉 Christopher did a three-day working interview and job tryout, and was offered a hardware sorter position at Yardstore, a local aviation sheet metal tool supply store. He will work 20 hours a week sorting and organizing hundreds of parts. Because he is very detail-oriented, focused and hard-working, this job is a great match for him!

The employment team celebrated this occasion by gifting him with one of his favorite things, rubber ducks. 😊 (Fun fact, Christopher collects rubber ducks and is up to 3,500 in his collection!)

We are proud of Christopher's growth and determination, and are celebrating his exciting new journey! ⭐️

We spent two valuable days at The AbilityPoint strategizing with InterHab members from throughout Kansas at the annual Governmental Affairs retreat. Senator Joe Claeys joined us for a luncheon discussion, and our lobbyists Stephen Duerst (Federico//Duerst), Gavin Kreidler (Kreidler Consulting Group) and Andrew Wiens (Dugan Consulting Group) previewed the 2026 Kansas legislative session. As InterHab member agencies, we are stronger together!
