This week was extra sweet around here! 🍪✨
We received our brand new Otis Spunkmeyer oven and couldn’t wait to put it to the test—and let’s just say it did NOT disappoint! The smell of fresh-baked cookies filled the halls and had both staff and residents following their noses straight to the kitchen. 😄
Nothing brings people together quite like warm cookies and good company, and we are so excited to have this amazing addition to our home. More baking (and delicious memories) to come! 💛

☘️ We had a fun and festive week celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️
Our residents enjoyed delicious shamrock shakes, refreshing green punch, and plenty of tasty snacks while getting into the holiday spirit. 💚
We also loved having our housekeeper Michael join in for our daily Move & Groove—nothing better than staff and residents coming together for some fun and exercise! 💃🕺
In the spirit of March Madness, we got creative and made our very own basketball hoop. 🏀
To wrap up the week, we were blessed with a wonderful sermon from Pastor Aaron, leaving everyone feeling uplifted and inspired. 🙏
It’s weeks like these that remind us how special our community truly is! 💚

This week we celebrate Administrative Professionals Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize our incredible Administrator! 💙
Thank you for the dedication, leadership, and heart you bring to our building every single day. Your support for our staff and the care you show for our residents does not go unnoticed. Because of you, our community continues to be a place filled with compassion, teamwork, and smiles.
We are so grateful for everything you do behind the scenes and on the front lines to make our home the special place it is.

It was a wonderful week filled with good food, movement, and special memories! ❤️
Our residents kicked off the week with an outing to Tanker BBQ for our monthly Diners Club. The food was amazing and the portions were HUGE — nobody left hungry! 🍖
Our daily Move & Groove group continues to grow, and we love seeing more residents joining in each day to stay active, laugh, and have fun together. 💃🕺
Behind the scenes, we’ve also been working on something very special coming in May. We can’t wait to share more details soon, so keep an eye on our page! 👀✨
To top off the week, we celebrated a very special 90th birthday! 🎉 Surrounded by his family and looking extra cool, he rang in his big day in style. We’re pretty sure he had a fantastic time!

I almost forgot about our game day last week.
We fired up Wheel of Fortune on the Nintendo Switch and let the games begin! 🧠💡 There was plenty of laughter, a little friendly competition, and lots of “OHHH I KNOW IT!” moments.
Who says brain exercise can’t be fun? Word puzzles, teamwork, and cheering each other on made for the perfect afternoon. 💙
We might have a few future game show champions in the building! 🏆😉

💛 Golden Love Celebration 💛
Last Saturday, we had the joy of celebrating a very special milestone — 50 years of marriage for one of our residents and his beautiful wife! 💍✨
Love like this deserves to be celebrated, and thanks to the kindness of one of our amazing nurses, the couple was surprised with a cake to help honor their golden anniversary. 🍰
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — celebrating life, love, and the stories that make each day meaningful. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs. Stratman on 50 incredible years together! 💐💕

Today, our residents stormed the dining room on a mission… to outbid each other and claim the mystery prize! 🕵️‍♀️✨ Bags were filled, clues were cracked, and the competition was fierce.

🎄✨ Holiday Celebration Highlights ✨🎄
On Tuesday, our residents enjoyed a heart-warming holiday celebration filled with good food, beautiful music, and special moments. We started the day with a delicious soup and baked potato bar prepared by our wonderful staff—nothing better than comfort food shared with friends!

Next, we were treated to an incredible performance by the Maize South High School Choir. Their voices filled the room and truly brought the holiday spirit to life. 🎶❤️

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better… 🎅 Santa made a special appearance! He helped pass out gifts and even went room to room to say hello, making sure every resident felt the magic of the season.

Our hearts are so full, and we are incredibly thankful for everyone who made this day possible. A huge thank you to MK Wound, ACG hospice, Heartland Hospice, along with our amazing staff, doctors, and the many volunteers who chose to support a resident this year. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can say. 💕
We truly could not do this without the love and support of our community. 🎁🎄

🎄🎶 What a wonderful couple of days filled with music and movement! 🎶🎄
Yesterday, we were treated to a beautiful Christmas program by Dori from Interim. We loved listening to her sing and share her incredible talent with us—she truly brought the holiday spirit to our community.
Today, we switched things up with Drum Ball thanks to Home Health and Hospice of Kansas! Steven brought out his equipment and got everyone involved. We had a great time getting a little physical while still having lots of fun and plenty of smiles.
We are so thankful for our community partners who help create such meaningful and joyful experiences for our residents! ❤️🥁🎤

No fear — Rolling Hills will still have a full Turkey Dinner today! Our brave “hunters,” big and small, set out yesterday for a lively turkey hunt throughout the building. The laughter never stopped as everyone joined in on the fun and chased down our mischievous “turkeys.” It was a joyful and lighthearted way to kick off the holiday celebrations here at Rolling Hills!

We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving day.
