Love Big for Jason
It is an honor for Dignity Memorial – Wichita, KS to recognize the compassion and dedication of Location Manager and Funeral Director Annie Neal of DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary.
In 2024, Annie and her team were privileged to care for the Jason Jones family during their time of loss. Today, we continue to stand beside them as they celebrate Jason’s remarkable legacy. Through the generosity of his family, Jason was able to give the gift of life through organ donation — including his heart, which was received by Luka McDonald of Pennsylvania.
Below is the story and photos from a recent reunion event, shared with permission. Annie, pictured with her therapy dog Capone, joined Office Manager Brooke Dodge and Outreach Coordinator Cyndi Mendoza Jones in honoring Jason’s memory.
The DeVorrs team provided a LEGO table — Jason’s favorite building blocks — along with nearly 100 beach balls for guests to enjoy in his honor. One beach ball, signed by Jason’s classmates, was presented to his family as a heartfelt tribute.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both families and to Midwest Transplant Network for the opportunity to support and serve our community in such meaningful ways.
