🚨 FRAUD ALERT 🚨

The Town of Wickenburg has been made aware of fake invoices being sent to residents. These fraudulent invoices falsely claim to be from the Town and state that you owe fees, asking for payment by wire transfer or email only. Some even link to websites that are NOT the official Town of Wickenburg site.

✅ The Town of Wickenburg will never request payment by wire transfer or through unofficial websites.
✅ If you receive an invoice and are unsure of its origin, do not pay it.
📞 Please contact Town Hall directly at 928-684-5451 — we’ll be happy to help verify whether an invoice is legitimate.

Help us spread the word and protect your neighbors — stay alert and double-check before you pay!

FOUND: He was found in La Paz County and is being checked medically.

Missing and endangered:
Kris Anderson (78) has been missing since yesterday. Possible sightings yesterday were at the first River crossing of Rincon Road and Burger King. He’s driving 2019 Nissan Frontier with Az license G3A2D1. He suffers from dementia and other medical problems. If seen please dispatch at 928-684-5411.

Gary Dowdy is missing/endangered since Saturday, October 11th. His last location was near Aguila, per his cell phone. He is driving a 2010 Gold Ford Escape, license number F8A7DC. If seen, please call dispatch at 928-684-5411.

We have received multiple calls for citizens being frauded. Never pay someone with gift cards or give out your credit/debit card information over the phone unless it's a trusted person or vendor. Scammers ask for gift cards because payments can be easily sent electronically. Also, the Courts or Police Departments will never call to demand money for a missed subpoena. If someone tries to make you pay by phone, hang up and report it. Call your bank immediately if you have shared info, and report the scam to your local police department.
