At The Meadows, we understand that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Our treatment is as personal as your journey.

Our care is guided by a comprehensive, integrated model designed to address the root of what you’re experiencing, not just the symptoms. From trauma and mental health to addiction and co-occurring disorders, every part of you and your story matters.

Our holistic approach combines clinical expertise, neuroscience, experiential therapies, community connection, and personalized care because lasting healing happens when the whole person is supported.

You’re not alone. Healing is possible, and help is available.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month—a time to look beyond the surface of addiction and understand its deeper impact.

As our Senior Fellow, Dr. Tian Dayton, shares, addiction doesn’t just affect the individual—it shapes the entire family system, often in ways that go unseen for years.

The effects can live on in relationships, emotional patterns, and the ways we learn to cope, long after substance use stops. That’s why healing requires more than addressing the behavior—it requires addressing the underlying trauma.

At The Meadows, we focus on treating the whole person and the relational impact of addiction, helping individuals and families move toward lasting, sustainable recovery.

Last week, we had the opportunity to bring our Meet The Meadows event to Los Angeles, bringing together clinicians, partners, and leaders for a day of connection and shared learning.

From thoughtful conversations to meaningful new relationships, the event reflected what matters most to us, creating space to collaborate, learn, and deepen our collective understanding of trauma-focused care. It also created space to align around what truly drives this work forward: patient-centered care, sustainable recovery, and our shared commitment to advancing the field of behavioral healthcare.

We’re especially grateful to our clinical leaders, including Dr. Georgia Fourlas, Dr. Kevin McCauley, and Dr. Claudia Black, for sharing their expertise and helping make the experience so impactful.

Moments like these are a reminder of the passion and commitment behind the work we do every day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped bring this event to life.

Catch Janna Dewey, Director of Equine Programs at The Meadows, live on Arizona’s Family as she discusses a topic many experience, but few talk about: grief after losing a pet.

💬 On the segment, Janna will share:
✔️ Why losing a pet can feel as significant as losing a family member
✔️ Why this type of grief is often minimized or misunderstood
✔️ How unprocessed grief can impact mental health, work, and relationships
✔️ The role of equine-assisted therapy in emotional healing
✔️ How our Led by Love workshop creates space to grieve and begin healing

At The Meadows, we recognize that grief takes many forms—and healing starts by giving it the space and support it deserves.

📺 Tune in Friday, April 10 | 3:10 PM MST | Arizona’s Family

Grief related to animal loss is often overlooked, leaving many people without a place to fully acknowledge what they are carrying. Animal loss can also elicit a larger emotional response, possibly triggering unresolved trauma, grief, or childhood abandonment. This response may also include feelings related to loss of identity. Our Led by Love workshop was created specifically to support those healing from this grief.

Led by experienced, licensed therapists, this multi-day, experiential therapy workshop offers a supportive, grounded space to reflect, connect, and process alongside others who understand the depth of these relationships

Finding your footing as a young adult can be tough. The transition to independence is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Trauma, mental health challenges, or patterns of addiction can leave young adults feeling “stuck in-between,” unsure how to move forward.

The Claudia Black Young Adult Center (CBC) offers specialized inpatient treatment for ages 18+, designed specifically for this life stage. With gender-specific programs, experiential therapies, and peer support, CBC meets young adults where they are, addressing emotional trauma, depression, ADHD, anxiety, and addiction in a safe, understanding environment.

Healing at CBC isn’t one-size-fits-all, it’s tailored to the unique needs of young adults ready to build resilience, insight, and meaningful independence.
