🚗💨 You wouldn’t ignore your oil light, so don’t ignore your lungs.

A low-dose CT (LDCT) scan is a way to check your lungs for early signs of cancer before symptoms even show up.

✅ Why it matters:
Finds lung cancer early, when it’s easiest to treat
Uses less radiation than a regular CT scan
Quick, safe, and requires no downtime

👥 Who should get screened:
Adults 50–80 years old
Current or former smokers who quit within the last 15 years
Have a family history of lung cancer or chronic lung disease

If you’ve ever said, “I’ll get checked later,” let this be your sign to do it now.
Early detection saves lives and yours could be one of them.

Talk to your provider about a low-dose CT lung screening today.

If you’re between 50 and 77 years old, currently smoke or have a history of smoking, and have no signs of lung cancer, you may qualify for screening.

Talk to your doctor today to see if you qualify.

🌼October Daisy Award Honoree - Joelle Necaise, RN 🌼

“Being told your brand-new baby would be admitted to the NICU is something no parent wants to hear. I had my second baby in July, and that’s exactly what I was told: “Your son will be going to the NICU.” My heart broke at that moment. My brand-new baby. My first son.

Not only that, but I was unable to get out of bed, which meant I couldn’t go with him to the NICU until I was cleared to get up. What should have been a time of bonding with my newborn quickly became a time of fear, panic and confusion.

As soon as I could go, I went. That’s where I met Joelle. She was the lead nurse for much of our NICU stay and one day took over my son’s care when our original nurse had to leave. Joelle was incredibly knowledgeable and truly took the time to listen to what I, as a mom, wanted for my baby. She was calm and exactly what my husband and I needed in that moment.

She was always available for questions and gave thorough replies. She greeted us as we came in and out of the NICU, even when she wasn’t our nurse. She checked in on us when she didn’t have to. Joelle was a reason I was able to relax and spend time with my son instead of worrying about all the what-ifs.

She is truly working in an area that is her calling. She was made to be a nurse. We could absolutely tell she gives her all to each little human she comes in contact with — and to the families, too.

As you can imagine, the NICU is somewhere no parent wants to be with their child, but having Joelle there was a blessing for our family. She deserves recognition as she is a huge asset to this hospital.”

Thank you, Joelle, for being you!
