Our first annual Friendsgiving ( Snoopy snack ) was a hit. We are all kids at heart when we start coloring and playing with photo props. Thank you to all of our young guests that came and shared this fun event with us. Have a Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours.

We announced the winners of the scarecrow counting contest. The number was 67 and we had a tie. The closest was 65 both Nancy Z. and Mary Ann P. each got to pick their scarecrows to keep. We also made these sweet treats. “Blessing Mix” each ingredient has a special meaning for Thanksgiving.

The residents made a few more turkey 🦃 hangers and Thanksgiving centerpieces for both dining rooms. Last picture is a gag gift surprise.

Thank you to the Meridian public school youth group for coming and helping set up a few Christmas trees 🌲 and garland in the hall as well as bringing some treats. 🥧It’s definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas. 🎶

Today is national princess day and Mickey Mouse’s 🎂 Birthday. We watched a special happy birthday sing-along around the world, the actual first cartoon and the original Mickey Mouse club program and their reunion show. We enjoyed A&W root beer and the sweet treats that had Disney shapes in it. Also had lots of laughs with Snapchat filters and singing along to the Mickey Mouse Mouse theme song.

Yesterday we had our monthly
Travel & Treats program. We created our own WCC passports and each month we get a stamp from each place. Every destination we watch videos and learn fun facts about each place, as well as sample treats from that location and listen to music. This month destination is the country Turkey and although we wanted to try baklava, we ended up eating pistachio ice cream with a sweet pastry.
