📣📣📣IMPORTANT UPDATE: 📣📣📣
We are excited to share (finally!) that we will be moving our main location from Wilbraham to Longmeadow. We know that this news will be welcomed by some families and upsetting for others. Please know that we did not make this decision lightly, and it has been months in the making. It was the best decision for the business as a whole, as well as for my family. Thank you for supporting us over the last 4 years. We appreciate you all so much!

🤩WHEN: We will be slowly moving out of Wilbraham over the last 2 weeks of Sept.. The larger sensory equipment will be the last items moved. Officially, we will be in Longmeadow fully on Oct 1. We will try and minimize the disruption of our services as much as possible and will let you know as soon as possible if we need to reschedule a session.

🤩WHERE: Our new location will 167 Dwight Rd, Suite 101, Longmeadow, MA 01106 (Longmeadow Professional Park)

🤩We will have some therapists shifting around their schedules as some will be just covering school contracts and not moving with us in the fall. Afterschool time slots will go fast. Please let us know your fall schedule as soon as possible, as we are unable to hold time slots (and if at all possible, please consider choosing a time slot that will also work after our move).

🤩GROUPS: We will begin groups in October after we move and have the individual session schedule outlined.

🤩 We are actively interviewing and looking to hire an OT and/or OTA in the clinic. Please share if you know of anyone who may be a good fit for us at Sensory SpOT!

Play

Play is an essential part of a child’s development. Learning through play is how a child makes sense of the world around them. They use their senses to explore, create and imagine in order to grow their communication and developmental skills. Throughout early infancy and early toddler stages, play interaction fosters bonding and security needed for social emotional development. During the preschool age, play fosters creativity and development of their imagination. In early elementary, play-based learning is often overlooked, however, essential for growth in social relationships and educational carry-over.
