Harold “Buzz” L. Weaver, 81, of Wilburton, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at the McAlester Regional Health Center.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Jones Harkins Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Veterans Colony Cemetery, near Wilburton, Oklahoma. Military honors provided by the VFW Post 3649, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Humburg, Hayden Turner, and Rachel Humburg.

Harold “Buzz” Weaver was born on March 20, 1945, in Long Beach, California. At an early age, his grandmother gave him the nickname “Buzz” because of the car noises he made while playing with his Matchbox cars — a name that stayed with him throughout his life.

Buzz married his “angel,” Tommie Faye (Bench) Humburg, on October 25, 2025, in Wilburton, Oklahoma. The last years of his life were filled with peace, love, and companionship as Tommie, first as a dear friend and later as his wife, along with her family, brought great happiness to his life.

Buzz grew up in Porterville, California, and attended California State University. In 1963, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy. After completing boot camp, he was immediately deployed to Vietnam, where he faithfully served his country until receiving his honorable discharge in 1967.

Following his military service, Buzz worked as a chimney sweep and later owned and operated his own chimney sweeping business.
Buzz was proud to be both an American and a United States Navy veteran. He could best be described as “a hard nut to crack,” but those who truly knew him understood the kindness and loyalty he carried within. Once Buzz considered you a friend, he was a loyal and lifelong friend.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting cars, and generously giving to others, especially organizations dedicated to feeding children and the elderly.

Buzz will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tommie Humburg Weaver, along with a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Buzz will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ryan loved car rides, watching and riding horses, attending the Dow Methodist Church's annual candlelighting service, and watching his favorite shows, Family Feud, Price is Right, and Wheel of Fortune. He would roar with laughter at the radio show Car Talk, and truly loved spending time with his family and friends. All that mattered to Ryan was the love and happiness of those around him.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, June and Terry Haynes of the home; his father, Rick Watson and Laketa Palmrose, McAlester, Oklahoma; brother, Rodney and his wife Sheri Watson, Houston, Texas; nephew, Cody Watson, Houston, Texas, and nephew, Colin Watson and his fiancé Zoe Stoermer, Redondo Beach, California; step brother, Alex Haynes, his wife Christel, and their children, Brynlie Haynes, Kenidee Woods, and Kruz Woods, Hartshorne, Oklahoma; step-grandmother Katherine Watson, Hartshorne, Oklahoma; uncles and aunts, Sherry Koleszar, Seagoville, Texas, Larry and Patricia Sartin, Dow, Oklahoma, Bill and Carrie Monroe, Dow, Oklahoma, Jan Woolheater, Georgetown, Texas, and Harriette Leigh, Norman, Oklahoma, along with other loving family members.
