That moment when you catch yourself mindlessly scrolling for the third hour straight, reaching for food you don’t even want, or clicking “next episode” when you promised yourself you’d go to bed early. 📱🍩📺
Sound familiar?
We’ve all been there, beating ourselves up thinking we have zero self-control or wondering what’s wrong with us.
But what if I told you it might not be about willpower at all?
Unwanted energies can create “energetic momentum” - invisible currents that pull you toward certain behaviors even when your conscious mind wants something different.
Think of it like this:
You know how sometimes you walk into a room and immediately feel anxious, even though nothing bad is happening?
Or how you can “feel” someone’s mood before they even speak?
That’s energy influencing you.
The same thing happens with behaviors.
These energetic influences work like gentle, persistent nudges in your subconscious.
They don’t force you - they just make certain actions feel more appealing, more automatic, more “right” in the moment.
It’s why you can have the strongest intentions to eat healthy, but find yourself gravitating toward junk food.
Or why you plan to be productive but end up in a scrolling spiral instead.
Your brain is constantly scanning for patterns and familiarity.
When there’s energetic momentum around a behavior, your brain interprets that as “this is what we do.” 🧠
It becomes the path of least resistance, even when it’s not what you actually want.
But once you understand this is happening, you can interrupt the pattern.
Next time you catch yourself in one of these automatic behaviors, pause and say “Wait, this is just energy.”
That simple recognition creates a circuit breaker in the momentum.
It gives you back your conscious choice.
You’re not weak. You’re not broken. You’re just energetically influenced - and now you know how to take your power back.
This week, practice catching yourself in these moments.
Don’t judge, just notice.
Ask: “Is this really what I want to be doing right now?”
