To our mom’s beloved patients,
It is with great sorrow and much pain that we inform you of the recent loss of our dear mother, wife, and your physician, Dr. Uzoma Nwaubani. The circumstances of her passing were sudden and unexpected and we, quite frankly, are as shocked as you are. We understand the curiosity you all may have surrounding the details of her passing, but we ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through this difficult time.
NUWA World is her dream; a health academy made for and by women, and she cared about each one of you singularly and dearly. We have spent the last few weeks putting plans in place to continue the quality care you all receive at NUWA World and, luckily for us, our mom was a visionary. She prepared well into the future and had plans in place for her retirement and the continuation of the facility.
Unfortunately, that transition will not be as seamless as intended but we owe it to her to do it as best we can. We have been in communication with various physicians who we believe will be able to deliver comparable levels of care. Nothing can ever replace her, but we owe it to her to keep her dream alive. We ask for your patience as we make this transition. Onboarding physicians is a slow and careful process, especially given the standard of care you are all accustomed to, and one that is already far underway. Our team is working hard to reschedule you all and provide care as soon as possible. We understand if you require immediate attention and must look elsewhere for the interim, but we ask that as we begin to restart services, you consider continuing your care here at NUWA World. Our current patient base will be given priority at the start of services; you are all part of this community and legacy and we would love to keep serving you.
We will update you in the coming weeks with a concrete timeline, but for now if you have any specific questions and/or need to reschedule, please call or email the office. If there is one thing mom taught us, it is that life is precious and she utilized every minute of it, up until the very end. In that same way, we are utilizing every minute of our time to build a system worthy of her loyal patients. We thank you deeply for your understanding.
For those of you who are looking to support, donate, or share kind words with the practice or the family, we will be working to create opportunities for such outlets. We just ask that you be patient with us. NUWA World will recover, and we will all grow stronger through this harrowing experience. We look forward to seeing you all very soon.
Our kindest regards,
The Nwaubani Family
