THE APPARENT PECULIAR EFFECTS OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS ON

OUR NUTRIENT LEVELS

The recent world epidemic with the coronavirus (COVID-19) is only nine months old. In past decades humanity has seen epidemics come and go. Many experts have theorized that this new virus is behaving similar to the common cold virus, but is much more contagious and virulent. Although the introduction of antibiotics in the middle of last century did wonders in alleviating millions from the ravishes of bacterial infections, viruses have been much more evasive, and to this day science has not discovered an effective treatment model for eradicating viral infections (including the common flu). There is hope in vaccines, since no drug therapy has been initialized to counterbalance the success of antibiotic therapy, but creating a “miracle vaccine” in such a short period of time is suspect.

I have repeatedly mentioned in my last 4 on-line articles that a strong immune system is a logical and appropriate answer for many diseases. A healthy lifestyle coupled with optimal nutrition along with micronutrient support is historically considered a most effective way to limit infections including COVID-19.

This fact is fundamental considering that the factors that result in mild verses severe COVID-19 infections has not been fully elucidated. In fact, as I see in my natural medicine practice, many viral infections can be accompanied by a bacterial co-infection, especially H. pylori.

H. pylori infection is very widespread and likely includes more than half the world’s population. It can best be identified in the human gut (small & large intestines and colon)- the main components of our immune system. It is not generally detected by usual bacterial culture methods. Although a common occupant of the human gastrointestinal tract, it is not harmful or deleterious unless it manifests to high levels. Very high levels are mainly associated with gastric ‘ulcers.’

However, there are some peculiar overlaps in the effects of H. pylori infection and those of COVID-19 that it raises curiosity about possible connections. A partial list of these less severe symptoms includes: cough (a considerable public disease marker), fever (associated with more than 50% of asymptomatic COVID-19 cases); headache (H. pylori as always been associated with headache); sore throat (H-pylori has been sited as a cause of chronic pharyngitis), and diarrhea (a common effect t of immunodeficiency).

My research has found that a leading therapy for eradication of H. pylori levels is not antibiotic therapy, but the lowering of lactic acid in the gut! High lactic/uric acid in the gut is a premium environment for the excessive growth and vitality of all microorganisms (i.e., bacteria, viruses, molds and parasites). This therapy is much more utilized in Europe than in the U.S. and is mainly treated with biological homeopathy.



Effects on Micronutrients

The negative effect on micronutrients (i.e., vitamins, minerals, amino acids) that the COVID-19 virus appears to have as the pandemic progresses is also coming into a clearer light. The growing list of highly credible physicians and researchers that recommend nutritional supplementation is rigorous, despite the medical community, Big PHARMA or the FDA stating that these interventions are anecdotal. These are the most vital micronutrient protocols that are proposed for the COVID-9 pandemic:

Vitamin C- It is well documented that Vitamin C extensively strengthens the immune system in fighting infections and other degenerative diseases successfully. Vitamin C can support patients against antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal drug-resistant infections. The fact that the COVID virus attacks the lungs- vitamin C becomes a more important treatment because of its well-known protective effects on lung tissue. The only caveat that I would add to rational Vitamin C therapy is to supplement with an ascorbate form of Vitamin C (not simple ascorbic acid), supported with strong co-factors such as OPC, resveratrol and grape seed extract. Since Vitamin C has short-lived biological activity high doses are not necessary. These cofactors can boost the activity by a 10-fold measure.

Vitamin D- Thirty years ago a scientist theorized that ‘seasonal stimulus’ linked to the sun’s solar radiation could explain the remarkable seasonality of epidemic influenza. Solar radiation activated Vitamin D production in the skin that has profound effects on human immunity. Recent review has reported that Vitamin D supplementation reduced the risk of acute respiratory viral-or-bacterial respiratory infection (keenly associated with the COVID-19 epidemic). It has also been revealed (data from 20 European countries) that in many virulent COVID-19 cases Vitamin D levels were critically low.

Magnesium- Approximately 800 enzyme systems require magnesium for their optimal functioning. It has been well documented that magnesium is inherently deficient in the American population, with reports reaching 80% in some groups. I recommend magnesium supplementation to at least 90% of all my patients. The potential role of magnesium in the activation and development of the immune system is profound. Magnesium is a cofactor in most immune responses, especially in the midst of the viral epidemic.

Zinc- The importance of zinc on immune function has been well documented. Zinc deficiency in the general population has been linked to immune deficiency mainly affecting T-helper cells and decreasing natural killer (NK) cell activity. Zinc has been a stable of therapy for treating the common cold (Flu) symptoms, showing a significant reduction not only in the duration but also the severity of symptoms. Finally, a recent exemplary study argues that prophylactic effect that zinc may pose on COVID-19. Zinc’s direct anti-infectious properties will benefit against viral and respiratory tract cases.

I wrote this open letter article in hopes of bringing some light to the many dying and afflicted patients around the country and the world. As this global pandemic progresses- time is of the essence. We are facing a formidable viral epidemic, but don’t be convinced that it can or will be limited to vaccines and drug therapy. There is strong evidence that strengthening our immune system with micronutrient interventions. Logic dictates that a combination of both is better than either therapy separately.



Doses recommended: Vitamin C 1,000-2,000 mg daily (higher doses with an acute attack); Vitamin D3 800-5,000 iu per day; Magnesium 400-1,000 mg daily; Zinc 40-100 mg per day.

IS THE “NEW NORMAL” AND THE “RESET” TAKING AWAY OUR HEALTH FREEDOM?

Turn on just about news media (right or left, liberal or conservative) and we all hear about the “new normal.” The big picture solution to the state of the world since Covid-19 started earlier this dreaded year (2020) is a complete “reset.” We certainly need to stop polluting the planet and work toward regenerating damaged soil, air and water. The trillions of dollars the Federal Reserve has injected into Wall Street, stocks, bonds, and the 1-percenters goes mainly toward the benefit of big business and multi-national corporations- which subsidizes environmental toxins and degradation that causes our ill-health. I consider this to be a complete imbalance in the frequencies of nature!

What do I mean by that? One of the greatest minds of our age is Nikola Tesla. He stated, “If you want to understand the universe you need to think in terms of frequencies, vibrations and energy.” Sometimes called the ‘wavefield,” this is the premise behind frequency medicine. The wavefield (balanced frequency) relationship between Body-Mind is crucial to understanding everything in human reality. Mainstream medicine will tell us that our genes basically decide all that happens to us physically and mentally. Some women even have their healthy breasts removed after being told their genes give them a high chance of breast cancer. This is tragic.


The noted American biologist Bruce Lipton, who write The Biology of Belief and has a YouTube presentation of the same name, would definitely disagree. He has proven that genes are like the “hard disc” of a computer, and are programmable to change. He perceives this wavefield as a stream of exchanging information between mind, body and the environment that can help us develop new gifts and abilities to cope with when our environment changes. When humans and animals are in sync with their environment thank to this information exchange the transmutation can encode new cell instructions to keep us healthy and in balance with our environment.

How does this new science relate to today? Mainstream medicine is an outgrowth from mainstream science (almost always funded by Big Pharma and government agencies that will profit). In today’s medicine the old adage is almost always true, “follow the money trail.”

Mainstream medicine is often brilliant in dealing with surgery, trauma injuries, orthopaedics, surgery, and reviving people at death’s door, but when it comes to illness and disease caused by our bodies’ energetic imbalances, modern medicine can be a danger zone. Look how highly effective antibiotics were in the latter part of last century. But they were handed out far too liberally to the point where infections can mutate to overcome their effectiveness, and the birth of ‘super bugs” ensued to make their modern usefulness practically mute.

If you and I were walking past the largest hospital in downtown Pittsburgh, PA, exactly one hundred years ago in 1920, the hospital was called “the Pittsburgh homeopathic hospital.” All sorts of ‘alternative’ medicines and methods were used (e.g., herbals, homeopathics, essential oils, Cannabis, and medicinal plants). There were few FDA-approved “drugs” back then. But in the 1930’s and 40’s the Rockefeller cabal took over the American medical schools and all curriculums were altered to teach a drug-based medical model- that is, treat the symptoms and ignore the cause of disease. Alternative medicine has long accused mainstream medicine of rating only the symptoms especially when they refuse to acknowledge the wavefield of the body where the ‘cause’ lies most of the time.


The new “frequency” or “wavefield” medicine is the medicine of the future. It is practiced much more in Europe than in the United States. The human body has trillions (not billions) of cells (cell ‘batteries’) and in almost every one these cells are the ‘hard drive’ known as DNA. DNA contains over 100,000 genes and they can be instructed to change minute by minute. Frequency medicine recognizes gene therapy but ignores it relevance to Mind-Body health and the importance of perceptions through wave frequencies with the body.


Be careful that the new “reset” doesn’t convince you that your DNA is set for life, or that your ‘hard drive’ cannot be altered. Be extra careful that your doctor doesn’t always convince you that drug therapy is the only logical treatment for disease. My own research has shown me that yes, factors such as pollution, radiation, bacteria, viruses, molds, parasites, pesticides, plastics and so many other “oxidative stressors” that are not only making us unhealthy, but also ‘aging’ us. However, this may only account for 40% of our ‘health’ problems or diseases. It is likely 60% are our perceptions, or the way we ‘thought’ about it.


It is sad but true that most doctors prescribe chemical drugs for chemical symptoms and completely miss the wavefield cause. Maybe, in some ways the ‘new normal’ should go back and take a closer look at the ‘old normal,’ when our health choices were our own.

DO YOU FEEL A SUFFOCATING “HEALTH” DARKNESS COMING OVER OUR NATION?

Now that the COVID-19 virus has spread across the globe, we must wonder if there is a good reason that America has had the most cases and the most deaths, especially since China, where the virus has been reported to originate, has fewer cases and deaths, yet nearly four times the population of the United States.


Perhaps the answer is what the medical establishment has revealed during the last few months—that Americans are in poor health!


It is hard to believe that the US Secretary of Health & Human Services stated that American COVID-19 deaths have occurred in higher proportion to other countries because America is in worse health than most countries.


Let us consider some of the facts:


- America spends more on health care than any other nation on earth—yet we’re all the sicker for it.


- Americans are unhealthy because of poor quality food, air, and water, along with our hyper-pharmaceutical culture.


- America has weaponized a government/medical agenda of forced testing, tracking, surveillance, and an impending mandatory vaccination program, etc., while ignoring what got us here in the first place.


- Not one media medical personality and/or celebrity doctor can give us any relevant advice beyond wearing a mask, staying in your house, and practicing social distancing. Can just one professional mention the importance of keeping a strong immune system?


- The “fear” perpetrated by the media over the pandemic likely has a strong negative effect on our physical and psychological wellbeing.


Generally, the COVID-19 virus has been misdiagnosed, misinformed, mistreated, and poorly tested since it appeared for the first time in the North American continent a few months ago. In addition, there is mass unemployment, public panicking, demonstrations, and the largest transfer of wealth and consolidation of business cartelization in modern history to a handful of large international corporations.


Does anyone else feel a suffocating darkness descending on our nation?


The famous British author Charles Dickens once wrote, “The sun, the bright sun, that brings back, not light alone, but new life, and hope, and freshness to mankind.” Has anyone in the medical community informed us that just 20 minutes of exposure to sunshine each day will eliminate almost 80 percent of all harmful microorganisms in one’s system? Why are we being told to stay indoors?


I once attended a natural medicine conference where an elderly scientist informed the crowd that there are generally three things a human must have for a healthy life: breathing fresh air (oxygen); absorbing nutrients in an alkaline environment (in one’s gut); and the detoxification of wastes. That’s pretty simple, isn’t it?

To breathe clean air we should consider getting out of the cities as much as possible—we should even think about moving to rural areas. We would all agree that eating a healthier diet is essential, but we need to remember that the absorption of nutrients is the major factor in a healthier body—not just consumption. Lastly, elimination of wastes and toxins (detoxification) is a critical factor and one that is rarely talked about in medical circles, likely because it is not taught in medical schools. Toxins these days come in a multitude of forms, including pesticides, heavy metals, plastics, air and water pollution, radiation, GMO foods, synthetic chemicals, and many others. If the body cannot exude these toxins over time, it will store them. This phenomenon is a leading explanation of how disease starts in the body. But don’t dismiss the fact that toxic thoughts and emotions are just as dangerous, for they are!

So get outside more, get some sun, enjoy nature, exercise, hugs are good (even if we can’t shake hands), and practice stress management in any way you feel that is best for your body. Your immune system will thank you, and you’ll never be devastated by this pandemic.

A LOGICAL RESPONSE TO THE PANDEMIC: CLARITY NOT HYSTERIA

We are all aware that the COVID-19 crisis is causing massive social and economic upheaval. Did anyone think as we toasted in the New Year a few months ago that millions of jobs would be lost, that we would be told to “lockdown,” that we would be afraid to go outside, and that we would practice social distancing?

While we wait for the government and Big Pharma to issue us “passes” to go outside and enjoy the sun, the green grass, the fresh air, and the environment again, we should realize that now is the time for critical thinking. Now is time to ask the hard questions and pursue the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it may be for some people.

No matter what is happening in the world, a number-one priority should be maintaining good health. WE MUST NOT PANIC! Living a healthy lifestyle in terms of diet, supplements, exercise, sleep, emotions, and spirituality should never be a reaction to these dire news reports: a healthy lifestyle should already be a part of our everyday lives. In my many years of experience I have found that fear and excessive worrying are most harmful to health. Fear can be a massive psychological warfare, terrorizing and confusing the population. Fear will hinder our reasoning and weaken our immune resistance.

Here is a list of generally recognized FACTS concerning this pandemic:

- According to noted scientist Dr. Bruce Lipton, “This virus is just a flu, but a bad flu.”
- In most cases, the immune system will take care of flu symptoms if they are manifested.
- Emotional stress can shut down your immune system.
- This virus can be treated.
- Fifty percent of the people who contract COVID-19 have no symptoms—this is likely due to the fact that they have a strong immune system.
- Fear can be a normal response, but long-term fear, such as feeling that you are going to die, can lead to adverse biological changes.
- Why do viruses increase during the fall and winter? Because of lower temperatures. Viruses cannot replicate in warm temperatures—whether those warm temperatures are caused by the sun or by increasing our own body temperature through such methods as sauna and exercise.
- If a million people in the United States get this virus, you still only have a 1 in 340 chance of contracting it yourself and about a 1 in 8,500 chance of dying.

Let me state for the record the two words that mainstream media personalities, as well as doctors, nurses, and health professionals who have been interviewed by the media, have refused to mention . . . the IMMUNE SYSTEM. Why can’t anyone in the media inform the public that our God-given immune system is the key factor in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, or any other dangerous microorganism for that matter?

The immune system is a host defense system comprising many biological structures and processes within an organism that protects against disease. To function properly, the immune system must detect a wide variety of pathogens—from viruses, bacteria, mold, fungus, to parasitic worms—and distinguish them from the organism’s own healthy tissue. This is called the adaptive immune system, which is acquired. In time, this remarkable protective system will enable our body to “adapt” to these pathogens, making them less likely to lead to disease or ill health.

There is also an innate immune system, which is an older evolutionary defense strategy, relatively speaking, and the dominant immune system response found in humans, animals, plants, insects, and even primitive multicellular organisms. The immune system, via its own intelligence, will repel and try to eliminate any toxin or foreign invader that enters the body. So in addition to repelling pathogens when a chemical, pesticide, heavy metal, radiation, e-smog, plastic, or other environmental hazard enters the body, the innate immune system will do its best to detoxify the invader. If the immune system cannot adequately detoxify over time via urination, defecation, sweating, and exhaling, it will have no choice but to store these poisons in our lymph system, liver, kidney, fat, and connective tissue. These toxins can be time bombs waiting to explode—and when they do the result is disease, or what I prefer to call dis-ease.

There is one other important system that works hand-in-hand with the immune system, and that is the endocrine system. The components of the endocrine system, including the thyroid gland, adrenal glands, hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and pineal gland, entail an emotional response to a foreign invader—even if that foreign invader is a toxic thought. Would you agree that fear is a dangerous and deleterious thought? Of course it is, and it can negatively affect our immune system just as much as a pathogen or toxin—maybe more. In fact, many scientists believe that the endocrine system and the immune system are one and the same system.

If you haven’t had a chance to read my last article on Facebook titled “What to do if you get sick during these unprecedented times,” please do. It will give you valuable information on supplements and nutrients you can take to boost immunity and nourish key body function. But ultimately, the best way to keep a strong immune system and fight off the COVID-19 virus is to think clearly! Do not believe that a vaccine will save us from this virus or any other future pandemic. Have the flu vaccines completely protected us against the seasonal flu? No, maybe 20–25% in their best years. There are a myriad of protective measures we can take for ourselves, with or without a vaccine or a new drug.

Keep informed, but don’t get distracted by partisan opinions. Don’t let the political powers that are heavily influencing the medical profession take away our health freedoms. Health freedoms must be protected! Think clearly. Drive away the fear. Make your best health decisions on informed information—even if someone calls it “alternative” and it is not supported by Big Pharma, the WHO, the CDC, Mr. Gates, or the FDA.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU GET SICK DURING THESE UNPRECEDENTED TIMES

We are all suffering from the serious coronavirus pandemic. Most of us are quarantined in our homes, stressed and worried, and wondering what to do if we get sick.

Watching the evening news is stressful. The fear factor emanating from the mainstream media is disconcerting, even though I am not questioning their concern for public safety. I do not dispute the logic of thoroughly washing your hands, staying at home, and practicing safe distancing, although I am perplexed that there has not been any reference to natural solutions to treat this virus—like strengthening your immune system. Think about the odds of getting very sick, or even dying from this virus. Even if recent statistics are accurate and over 1 million Americans get the virus, considering that there are 350 million Americans in the United States, your chances of getting the virus are 1 in 350. Pretty goods odds, don’t you think?

We are exposed to more than 50 viruses on a daily basis. In almost all cases we have a fantastic immune system that can ward off viruses, bacteria, and mold every day of our life. Let’s discuss practical and logical ways to optimize our immune system to keep us as healthy as possible.

1) Minimize stress. Don’t worry that much. Stay calm. Don’t freak out! In my experience as a holistic practitioner who has practiced sophisticated “frequency-energy” medicine for more than ten years, I would surmise that 60–65 percent of all our health problems are associated with our emotional response. Everyday anxiety can lower our immune system more than any pollutant, microorganism, or disease state.

2) Reduce inflammation. Keep in mind that chronic stress can lead to chronic inflammation. Nearly 80–85 percent of patients who harbor (or have suffered from) cancer or an autoimmune disease (there are over 80) have an inflammatory problem. Inflammation is an acidic condition nearly all the time. Acidity in our gut (at least 70 percent of our immune system) and inflammation go together like a hand in a glove. A few of the elemental ways to lower this acidity are to consume a more alkaline (more plant-based) diet, lower lactic/uric acid levels with adequate nutrients, and lower emotional stress levels. Even if you consume a highly alkaline and healthy diet, if you harbor high levels of internal emotional stress, your body turns acidic.

3) Exercise to tolerance. Of course, an 80-year old is not going to exercise to the same extent as a 50-year old or a 30-year old. Do what you can. Get outside, get some sunshine (the best form of vitamin D), take a walk (since you can’t go to the gym these days), and eat healthier. Minimize sugar to less than 20 grams per day (the typical American consumes 75 grams daily).

4) Get enough sleep. Sleep is the great regenerator of the human body.

5) Supplement with immune-modulating nutrients. There is little doubt, in spite of what the medical community tells us, or doesn’t tell us, that vitamin C is an excellent antioxidant that boosts our immunity and is critical for lung health. All research points toward COVID-19 attacking our lungs, and it appears that the cause of death of the majority of people who die from this virus is a pneumonia-like syndrome.

6) Other nutrients that have positive immune benefits include

· probiotics for gut health;

· oregano, which is the only essential oil that has antibacterial, anti-viral, and anti-mold characteristics;

· zinc, which is found in every cell of the body and is responsible for T-cell formation that fights viruses;

· olive leaf extract, which is an anti-viral herbal product;

· medical mushrooms, which have been proven by recent science to promote health, energy, and immunity; and

· higher doses of vitamin D, as recommended by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Keep in mind that the real health danger from this virus is called a cytokine storm. This involves a severe inflammatory exacerbation, caused by the virus, that mainly attacks your lungs. Any symptoms that include a prolonged and severe cough, accumulation of fluid in your lungs, and difficulty breathing need immediate medical attention.

In closing, during these unprecedented times, if you get sick follow these recommendations:

1) Don’t panic or stress out.

2) Rest.

3) Drink fluids.

4) Eat healthy foods.

5) Take vitamin C in higher doses (1,000 mg per day for kids; 2,000 mg or more per day for adults).

6) Exercise to increase body temperature because it appears that higher temperatures neutralize the virus. (Since COVID-19 is not alive like a fungus or bacteria, we can’t really kill it.)

Some or all of these measures imply a natural detoxification. Your body and your immune system, in all their innate intelligence, will lower the inflammation level naturally and eliminate this foreign invader. Your chances of a positive outcome to all of this are actually very good.

VIRUSES, VIRUSES EVERYWHERE!! WHY HASN’T MODERN MEDICINE GIVEN US ANY REMEDIES? UPDATED FROM 2019 ARTICLE NOW MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER!

It is hard to believe how many patients I have seen with virus infection this year. Even though many infections can also be bacterial in nature (in which antibiotics are indicated), the more serious and problematic infestations are viral in nature. And now with the advent of this new and possibly “pandemic” virus, it’s time to look at alternatives to medical services and vaccines more seriously.

A virus is a small infectious organism- much smaller than a bacteria or a fungus- that must invade a living cell to reproduce. The virus attaches to the cell (called a host cell) and releases its DNA and RNA inside the cell. The virus’s genetic material takes control of the cell and forces it to replicate the virus. The infected cell usually dies because the virus keeps it from performing its normal function. When it dies, the cell releases new viruses, which go on to affect other cells.

People may get viruses by inhaling or swallowing them. Currently, this virus is centered in the lungs and can lead to “flu-like” symptoms that can be mild or severe- including death 2-3% of the time.
They can invade by being bitten by an insect or through sexual contact. Most commonly viral infections involve the nose, throat, and/or upper airways. The most common viral infection are probably respiratory infections. The body does have a natural defense against viruses (e.g., skin, adequate stomach acid, gut health). When the body comes in contact with a virus our white blood cells will attack the invader and try to rid it from the body.

Have you ever stopped to think about how many viruses are attacking the human immune system and intestinal tract? Over hundreds of strains! The common viral infections that holistic practitioners see every day (unfortunately medical doctors rarely look for them because of lack of treatment) include: Epstein-Barr (MONO), cytomegalovirus, echo virus, hepatovirus, coxsackie virus, herpes virus & rhino virus. The viruses in which vaccines are indicated include retroviruses (HIV/AIDS), smallpox, the flu virus, shingles virus, papilloma virus, hepatitis & MMR.

It is difficult to believe that the only medical treatments for any of these viral infections are the flu shot and the hope of another new VACCINE. Antiviral vaccines may interfere with the reproduction of viruses or strengthen the immune system to the viral infection. Vaccines are available for hepatitis, influenza, HPV, yellow fever, polio, Varicella, measles, mumps and rubella. However, outside of the vaccines, especially in regards to this new potential epidemic, the medical world has virtually nothing else to offer us other than wash your hands and remain isolated if over-exposed. Think about it- this is extremely disconcerting. Are we seriously supposed to wait patiently (in most cases for many years) for a drug manufacturer to create an anti-viral vaccine for these plagues to “save” us? Are there NO alternative treatment(s)? I am here to report that “YES, there is.” What about vitamins, nutrients, herbal medicines, utilizing their botanical plants, or eat a certain anti-viral diet? Modern medicine has no recommendations that could be deemed ‘natural’ therapies.

The following is a list of potentially effective (and life-saving) alternatives to vaccines to treat viral infections.
HOMEOPATHIICS & BOTANICALS- are by far the most effective medicines used against both mild and severe viruses (specially of the upper respiratory kind). Many isopathic-homeopathic preparations (Quentakehl 5X) are not antibiotics even though they are extracted from a mold-fungus. Therefore, there are no side-effects associated with antibiotic use, such as allergies, intestinal growth of Candida albicans, liver damage and development of penicillin-resistant strains. Isopathic products made from the non-acid-resistant form of Mycobacterium phlei have been effectively used in liver viral infections such as hepatitis. They can be used effectively and safely in children.
VITAMIN C- also known as Sodium ascorbate is used instead of ascorbic acid, which is known to irritate veins. There are no current placebo-controlled studies with intravenous doses of vitamin C for this new virus treatment; however, vitamin C is known to have benefited in the treatment of many viruses and it is considered safe. Reports this week state that Chinese authorities have agreed to permit IV Vitamin C treatments for affected patients. If you cannot get IV doses, take 3,000 of more mg per day orally.
VITAMIN D3- Vitamin D is a powerful natural antiviral, which is why many integrative practitioners promote vitamin D3 therapy for colds and especially flu-related viruses. Researchers suggest that supplementing with vitamin D3 to achieve an adequate blood levels that may reduce the incidence of viral infections of the respiratory tract. Daily doses can range from 2,000 IU daily to 50,000 IU depending on severity. Never use higher doses without seeing you MD or health-care profession.
VITAMIN A- is also a powerful antioxidant nutrient that helps heal inflamed mucus membranes and strengthens the immune system. By enhancing immunity, vitamin A may help. In one study, low serum Vitamin A levels were found in 65% of children with severe respiratory infection, again with the suggestion of an inverse correlation with severity of illness. Just like other fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, K and E) see a qualified practitioner before taking doses higher than recommended on the label.
HERBALS- are a natural choice for many Americans when you feel flu-like symptoms, a low immune response, or a general cold, cough or nasal drainage. The most effective anti-viral herbs include:
-CURCUMIN, a component of turmeric, has been used as a food additive and herbal supplement due to its potential medicinal properties. Universally, it has exhibited antiviral properties against several viruses, including dengue virus, hepatitis C virus, and many others.
- ECHINACEA is the one natural remedy when people think about boosting your immune system. This capsules or tinctures made from the flowers and roots of this plant can help minimize the severity of colds, the flu or bronchitis.
- ELDERBERRY is more commonly used in a syrup form, but like Echinacea, it is also effective in limiting the viral infections that lead to flu, upper respiratory infections and colds.
- OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT is a potent anti-viral and anti-microbial remedy. The key ingredient is called elenolic acid, which is a powerful component of olive leaf that destroys viruses.
- ANDROGRAPHIS is a common herb that can reduce the frequency, severity and duration of colds, flu and their symptoms.
- GARLIC is stronger and safer than some antibiotics because, unlike antibiotics, it doesn’t attack the good bacteria in your body. Garlic is also a great anti-viral and an anti-fungal and enables your immune system to catch up and do its job.
L-LYSINE is a foundational amino acid that has commonly been used for the prevention of cold sores (Herpes simplex virus). But L-Lysine can do more, in fact viruses hate L-Lysine. If you’re dealing with a chronic illness (that may be viral-related) taking 500-1,000mg of L-Lysine daily may be sufficient. L-Lysine can be used as a maintenance or as an acute treatment.
ESSENTIAL OILS are becoming recognized as safe and effective alternatives to taking medications and an excessive number of supplements. Many essential oils have multiple health benefits including anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antihistamine effects. The leading anti-viral essential oils include:

- MELISSA (LEMON BALM) has an amazing ability to fight off viruses (especially Herpes zoster including shingles), particularly in people undergoing excessive emotional stress and tension.
- OREGANO has often been called the ‘master’ essential oil. It is the ONLY essential oil with anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic. No other oil has such a wide range of benefits.
- MELALEUCA may reverse the development and replication of viral-infections, but melaleuca should be limited to topical use, not internal. Seek professional advice and intervention.
- PEPPERMINT is a universally beneficial oil that can not only ease digestive complications but also helps minimize viral bronchitis and other respiratory infections.
- BLACK PEPPER is considered a powerful anti-viral agent and may also act as an expectorant.

So, don’t let your doctor, P*P, nurse practitioner, pharmacist, or nurse tell you there is ‘nothing’ you can do for your viral infection! There are plenty of things you can do outside of taking prescription drugs and vaccines. . Keep in mind that a strong IMMUNE SYSTEM is your best weapon against these serious virus attacks. See a qualified health practitioner and try not to diagnose and treat yourself. Although there are many quality products on the U.S. market, there are also many charlatans selling supplements out there. It’s a buyer-beware market, be careful.
