The Second Family Approach
At Second Family, our program is designed to engage and stimulate our members in a secure and fun-filled environment in which love, laughter and joy are constants. We keep our members active physically, cognitively, and socially. Second Family carers are dedicated to joining our members on their journey for all interactions and activities. Our programming includes both smaller groups, each designed for the specific dementia stages – early, middle, and late – of our members, as well as large group activities aimed at fun and fellowship.
Another unique facet of Second Family is our Night Club program. This unprecedented program serves members who struggle with sleep deprivation, wandering, and increased behavior issues when the sun goes down. The Night Club further provides respite to members’ tired and stressed caregivers. This one-of-a-kind program mirrors our day activities schedule while also providing a peaceful and comfortable area to facilitate relaxation.
At Second Family, our members thrive from socializing with others and receiving top notch care built on love and respect. Our members’ caregivers benefit by getting a much-needed respite while knowing their loved ones are with their Second Family.
