Charles Cywinski of Swoyersville, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born March 2, 1947, in Wiles-Barre, he was the son of the late Michael Cywinski Sr. and Olga Ochinko Cywinski.
Charles was a 1965 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre, and a 1967 graduate of Penn State University with an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He was last employed at Techniglass, Pittston, retiring in 2007.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years and best friend, Theresa, in 2017; and brothers, Michael Cywinski Jr., and Walter "Skip" Cywinski.
Surviving is his sons, Scott Cywinski and his girlfriend, Angela Madden, and Ryan Cywinski and his wife, Linda.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.

Charles Alexander Jamiolkowski, 82, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Wilkes-Barre Veteran's Affairs Medical Center.
Born June 8, 1941, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Jablonski Jamiolkowski.
Charles was a graduate of Marymount High School, Wilkes-Barre, class of 1959.
A United States Army Veteran, Charles served honorably, primarily in Germany, during the Vietnam War.
Charles worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 2000.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #815, Wilkes-Barre Township, and a member of Branch #115 of the Wilkes-Barre Postal Union.
During his entire life, he loved and supported Pennsylvania's own sports teams, The Phillies, Eagles, 76ers, and Penn State.
He was an advocate of youth sports. Charles coached baseball and was involved in scouting during his 30 years living in Bear Creek Township.
Charles was extremely proud of his grandchildren's and step-grandchildren's academic and sports achievements and very proud of the outstanding young men they have become.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Horoszy and his first wife, the former Patricia Looram.
He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Gilgallon; brother, Richard and his wife, Kathy of Myrtle Beach, SC; children, Ann Marie Yost and her husband, David of Danville, PA, David Jamiolkowski of Arrowhead Lake, PA, Charles Charles Jamiolkowski of Wilkes-Barre, Ellen of Arrowhead Lake, PA, stepson, James Gilgallon and his wife, Sherry of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Patrick and Andrew Yost; and stepgrandchildren, Ryan and Jack Gilgallon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00am in St. Nicholas Church, 226 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may call Friday morning at the church from 9:00am until time of Mass. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming.

Keith J. Cavanaugh, of Kingston, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born October 31, 1974, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Carol Flannery of Kingston and the late John Cavanaugh Sr.
Keith was a 1993 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and a 2016 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
He proudly served his country as a United States Navy Veteran of the Iraq War.
Keith enjoyed comic books, baseball cards, Abe's hot dogs, and watching television.
He loved playing sports with his daughter, Kate, when he was healthy.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Cavanaugh Sr.; brothers, John "Buddy" Cavanaugh Jr., and Christopher Cavanaugh; and sister, Denise Cavanaugh.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Carol Flannery, is his daughter, Kathleen Denise Cavanaugh and her mother, Nichole Gordon of Kingston; sister, Ellen Terry Sellars of Maryland; and Fiance, Heather Zika of Benton, PA.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Saturday at 11:00am in the chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery, 68 East Saint Mary's Road, Hanover Township. The Reverend John S. Terry, will be Celebrant. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Jendrzejewski Funeral, 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Keith's name may be made to the Wounded Warrior's Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
