🩸 We're partnering with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center to host a Give Day Blood Drive on December 3.

From Noon-5 PM, visit the Miller-Keystone Donor Center on 400 Rt. 315 Suite E, Pittston.

Children’s Service Center will be a featured nonprofit for AllOne Charities Give Day on December 2.

We are among 78 local nonprofits across NEPA working to advance care and support for individuals and families. Your full donation goes directly to CSC to benefit programs and services.

Donations will be accepted November 26 to December 3, but gifts made on December 2 count the most. Watch for the giving link to be posted later this week, and help make CSC eligible to receive AllOne Charities bonus funding!

We've all learned the hard way....be sure to allow enough days for your turkey to thaw before next Thursday...It takes longer than you think! At CSC, we've got a jump on preparations with our annual turkey and food basket distribution (100+ families), a November food drive, yesterday's Friendsgiving meal for an adult program in Tunkhannock, and today's turkey dinner for students and staff at our Milford Barnes School, Wilkes-Barre. Thanks to all who donated food, services, and their time to make this a very special pre-holiday week!

Congrats to our own Tami Thomas who joined the field of 7,000 to complete the Boston Half Marathon last weekend. According to Tami, it was a balmy day in Beantown, but she forgot to bring the warm weather back home to us. Apparently, the course is one with many steep hills to challenge runners at every level of performance. Way to put away another 13.1 miles, Tami!

We are dedicated to helping families thrive and stay together! Led by our Substance Use Disorder team, a recent stop was the 19th Annual Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Conference held last week at the Woodlands Inn. Drug and Alcohol Specialist Jessica Budzak presented to the group and outreach team members Elizabeth Wegener and Christina Loughney offered a wide range of resources. The event drew both grandparents and social service professionals for a day of education and support.
