Our BAYADA Home Health Care, Fort Wayne, IN – Skilled Nursing office created a Hearts in Action Committee made up of some of their incredible nurses. They recently came together for pizza, laughter, and crafting, creating handmade Valentine’s Day cards for their clients.

We are so grateful to these nurses for taking extra time to share a personal token of kindness and to bring smiles to their clients’ faces. ❤️

Bob is a Navy veteran who served in Vietnam. He was recently honored with a veteran pinning ceremony by BAYADA nurse John from our Warminster, PA hospice office through our BAYADA Salute to Service program. Our team members were humbled to hear Bob’s stories from Vietnam and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices he made and the hardships he endured. His family shared how meaningful this ceremony was to them.

At BAYADA, we honor each veteran’s story, sacrifice, and service with dignity and gratitude. Thank you, Bob, for sharing your journey and welcoming our team into your home.

Moebius syndrome is a rare condition that affects the nerves that control facial expression and eye movement. In honor of Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day, our client Jackson was celebrated at school with a special event just for him. His care team and family joined together to honor him and help spread awareness.

We are so grateful to be part of his care team at BAYADA, and we are incredibly proud of his nurses and home health aides who help him feel safe, supported, and seen every day. ❤️

For twenty years, Julia has been a steady, compassionate presence for our clients, caregivers, and teams. As a BAYADA Client Services Manager, she has connected countless clients to care, created meaningful opportunities for caregivers, and coordinated thousands of hours of service that made home possible.

Her impact is in the details: schedules that came together, families who felt supported, and caregivers who found purpose. Dedication like hers doesn’t just uphold our mission — it helps shape it.

One of our incredible BAYADA clients, Gemma, is all smiles with her favorite doll who has a trach just like hers. In this simple moment of play, she isn’t “different.” She’s represented, seen, and celebrated for exactly who she is.

At BAYADA, we believe inclusivity and belonging aren’t just values on paper. They show up in the everyday details. We’re here to help children like Gemma feel safe, confident, and fully themselves.

Here’s to every child being able to say, “That looks like me,” and knowing they truly belong. ❤️

We’re so proud of Makayla, who recently graduated from our home care services. Born with short gut syndrome, Mikayla once relied on IV nutrition through a central line and tube feeds to get the nourishment her body needed.

At home, BAYADA nurses closely monitored her care. They safely managed her central line and tube feeds while partnering with her family and medical team every step of the way.

With consistent, skilled support, Makayla made remarkable progress. Her central line was removed. She began eating enough by mouth to discontinue both daytime and overnight tube feeds. Today, she takes all medications orally and is thriving, with her care team expecting G-tube removal in the future.

Stories like Makayla’s show the power of skilled nursing home care. It helps children avoid repeated hospital stays and continue growing where they belong, at home.

We’re grateful for her BAYADA nurses, including Alice, Carmen, and Jessica, pictured here. Makayla loved her nurses and already misses them, a testament to the meaningful bonds that form through home care.

For Drew, care was never one-size-fits-all. BAYADA HICU® certified nurses worked closely with his hospital team and his mom to create a 12-week transition plan built around his extreme prematurity, trach and ventilator needs, and limited family support.

Week by week, his schedule, nursing coverage, and education evolved as he grew stronger. With clear goals for ventilator weaning, feeding, and mobility, Drew’s care met him exactly where he was. Today, he is walking independently, eating by mouth, and reaching milestones at home, not in a hospital room.

"What I enjoy most about home care nursing is the opportunity to spend meaningful time with clients, understand their needs, and support both them and their families. Knowing that I can make a positive difference in their daily lives is incredibly rewarding. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, and going for walks." - Gete, BAYADA Licenced Practical Nurse (LPN)

We will continue to fight for our greatest asset, our Caregivers!

This is how you deepen the in-home care crisis in PA. The new state budget abandons 94% of Pennsylvania’s home care workers — and the seniors, children, and people with disabilities who rely on them every day.

“This is not leadership. It’s abandonment,” said Pennsylvania Homecare Association CEO Mia Haney.

Every month, more than 112,500 care shifts go unfilled, and one in four authorized nursing hours never takes place. Lawmakers had two independent, taxpayer-funded studies showing the clear path forward: invest in home care now or face higher costs from hospitalizations and nursing home placements later.

Instead, they funded just 6% of the workforce, ignoring the rest. The result? More families left alone to care for loved ones without help.

It’s time to fix this in the 2026–27 budget — before the system collapses completely.

The Senate and Governor have the power to act — and ensure no home care caregiver gets left behind.

Pennsylvania’s home care system is in crisis. Caregivers are walking away because wages can’t compete. Families are waiting weeks or months for help. Seniors and people with disabilities are at risk.

All caregivers deserve a rate increase. When we fund the frontlines, we protect care, strengthen communities, and save lives.
