Our athletic training students and faculty had a great time at the Hike to Harrisburg event where they had the opportunity to connect with Pennsylvania legislators to discuss the athletic training profession. A special thank you to for taking the time to meet with us and for introducing SB 1160 and SB 1161 (along with her co-sponsor ) to modernize the athletic training practice act. Under current law, athletic trainers are the only licensed allied health care providers who are restricted by the population they can treat. These bills will modernize our practice act and allow athletic trainers to use best practices during both routine and emergency care.
