Today is Maternal Health Awareness Day.
The United States continues to face an unacceptably high maternal mortality rate. Nearly 80% of maternal deaths are preventable. At MFHS, we're holding the ground on maternal health.
We are dedicated to improving maternal health outcomes in the communities we serve. Through programs like the Nurse-Family Partnership, WIC Nutrition, comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care, mental health support, and vital services like our Diaper Pantry and Bette’s Closet, we’re working to support pregnant and postpartum individuals during every step of their journey. 💜 Visit mfhs.org/services to learn more about the services we offer.
To further support our commitment to improving maternal health outcomes, promoting maternal health equality, and reducing health disparities, we have developed the Northeast Regional Maternal Health Coalition. The mission of the NRMHC is to improve maternal health outcomes, with a continuous focus on equality, by addressing maternal health issues at the local level. To learn more about the NRMHC or to join us at our upcoming panel discussion in collaboration with WVIA, visit mfhs.org/rmhc to register.
