The Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, led by Dr. Marie Roke-Thomas and P3 student pharmacist, Daniel Jones, completed the 22nd year of the Backpack Project, filling 250 backpacks for our local area population experiencing homelessness! ๐ŸŽ’โ™ฅ๏ธโค๏ธ

These bags contain personal items and will be distributed at local shelters during the holiday season. This project was made possible by donations received from students, Benco Dental Supply, Mericle Commercial Real Estate, and a grant from the Luzerne Foundation YAK Committee.

We believe in the spirit of giving back and in meeting the needs of our community with compassion, presence, and action. Through projects like this, our students learn that pharmacy is more than medications. Itโ€™s service, advocacy, and showing up for those who need support the most.๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™
