Protect yourself and those around you during flu season and get your flu vaccine. It’s available in nearly every pharmacy, doctor’s office, and even curbside. Plus, you can often get it at little to no cost. Don’t wait. Get your flu vaccine. Get it. Got it. Good.
People 65 years and older are at greater risk of serious complications from the flu. While flu seasons can vary in severity, during most seasons, people 65 years and older bear the greatest burden.
Flu symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people may also have vomiting and diarrhea. People may be infected with the flu and have respiratory symptoms without a fever.
The best way to protect yourself from flu, is getting the flu shot. This especially important for people 65 years and older because they are at high risk of developing serious complications from flu. Flu vaccines are updated each season as needed to keep up with changing viruses. People 65 years and older should get a flu shot and not a nasal spray vaccine.

Don't forget to show your support for all our veterans! Operation Green Light starts tonight.

Operation Green Light for Veterans takes place November 4–11, 2025, as a way for communities to show support and gratitude to the brave men and women who served our country. During this week, residents and businesses are encouraged to display green lights at homes, offices, and landmarks to honor veterans and raise awareness of the resources available to them.
