Emma A. Caldwell, age 65, of Willard, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Before moving to Ohio, Emma worked as a caretaker for adults at VOICE and was a member of the California Department of Forestry. After she moved to Ohio, she was a member of the Church of God in Willard where she served with the food pantry and many other church groups and functions. Kenneth "Wayne" Stanfield, age 89, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Willows at Willard where he was very loved and well taken care of. Wayne was a 1955 graduate of Willard High School. He devoted many years to the Willard Fire Department and helped establish the First EMT Squad. He loved the guys and gals there. Gabriella Gargagliano Luppino, age 85, was born on August 4, 1940, in Palermo, Italy. Orphaned at age 3, with the death of her mother, she was raised by Sisters of the order of Holy Family and educated in the Parochial School of Holy Family. Gabriella became the bride of her late husband, Paul Luppino, on July 16, 1959, in Pompeii, Italy, moving to Willard, Ohio in 1960, where she lived all her married life. Many people are familiar with military honor guards, but fewer have experienced the meaningful tribute provided by a Nurse Honor Guard.

At Secor Funeral Home, we were introduced to this dedicated group of nurses a few months ago and have since had the privilege of working alongside them to honor those in the nursing profession who have passed. Their ceremonies thoughtfully recognize the compassion, commitment, and years of service each nurse devoted to caring for others. Services can be personalized and held during calling hours, at the funeral, or at the graveside.

Cindy Jacobsen, daughter of Rose Wurm, who passed away in early March, recently shared her experience in an interview with the Nurse Honor Guard. She spoke about the impact of this tribute in honoring her mother’s life and career, helping bring awareness of this meaningful service to our local community.
