Happy Thanksgiving Week! To celebrate the week, our villa patio home residents gathered to enjoy "Friends giving." Thanksgiving Sliders, Casserole Potatoes, Green Beans, and assorted desserts...all lovingly prepared by Deb, our Community Lifestyle Director.

What's there to do on a chilly autumn afternoon? Our Villa Patio Home ladies prefer to gather for a tea party by the fireplace. Assorted teas and a tower of pastries were nice, but the conversations shared among friends were even nicer!

'Tis the Season for giving! ♥️

We're giving back to the community this Holiday Season, and we invite you to join us! The Willows at Willard is holding it's 1st Annual Holiday Wreath Auction to benefit local charities, the Willard Area Food Bank and The Blessing Basket.

Here's how you can help make this a successful giving event for those in our area:
🎄 Businesses and Community Members willing to donate a decorated wreath, please deliver your wreath to the Willows by December 9th
🎄 Viewing and Silent Auction Bidding on wreaths will be held Dec. 11-18, 10:00am - 3:00pm Mon - Fri only. (*No viewing over the weekend*)
🎄 Non-perishable food items and unwrapped, new toy donations will also be collected during Viewing and Silent Auction Bidding times (see above)

It's kind of a big dill around here! 🥒 Our residents recently canned their own homemade jar of pickles during Creative Cooking with Madison. Not only did it bring back memories from time spent in their own kitchens, but they also shared their own canning recipes and tips with one another. 😁

Our independent living residents enjoyed a lovely outing to Amish Country. The day included stops at the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center, Sheiyah Market, Amish Door Restaurant, and Lehman's Hardware. We shopped 'til we dropped and ate our weight in Amish goodies. The best part of the entire day has to be the memories created among friends!

Also, thank you to Stein Hospice for coming to our facility to honor our Veterans with a special program.

To say it's been an exciting month around here is an understatement!

For starters, our independent living community was named #1 out of all the Villa Patio Home communities Trilogy owns across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Wisconsin. This accolade proves how just much our residents love living here!

This month, we've enjoyed watching stunning fall sunrises, sunsets, and foliage seemingly change right before our eyes. And finally, our IL residents had a "spook-tacular" time at their Halloween costume party!

The excitement never stops around here. Be sure to follow along to see all the exciting things we have planned for the remainder of the year!

🇺🇸 Thank you to the staff and students for another incredible Veterans Day Program presented by the Willard City Schools Community Honor Committee! Our residents in attendance were honored to be recognized for their service at such a thoughtful event for the community. 🇺🇸

Thank you to the Seneca East Kindness Club that spent yesterday afternoon here at The Willows at Willard. This large group of students volunteered in a variety of activities and games throughout the building with our residents. Lots of smiles could be seen everywhere you looked thanks to them!
