How to use Sea Palm?

- You can eat Sea Palm straight out of the bag as a salty, crispy, jerkey-like snack. Kids absolutely love them, and it helps “ground” their energy if they have had too much sugar!

- Make a Sea Palm stir-fry:

- Make a yummy marinated Sea Palm dish. Simmer it in a little water for about 30 minutes, allow it to cool, and add olive oil, garlic, ginger, salt, chipotle or other spices of your choice.

- Add Sea Palm to your favorite soup or pasta recipe! It cooks tender in about 30 minutes.

Sea Palm grows on the wave-swept rocks, in places where big waves splash and keep it wet at low tide. This sometimes makes the harvest very challenging! We only harvest the frond tips, not the stalks, so the plants can continue to grow and reproduce.

Wonderful recent hike to Bolt Mountain in southern Oregon with wildflowers galore! Camas, Balsamroot, Yerba Santa, Cat's Ears, Brodiaea, Coyote Mint, Larkspurs and of course Shooting Stars were greeting us along with beautiful Oak, Madrone and other big trees. The Poison Oak was showing off it's shiny, red leaves as well. ~ sure love where we live!
