This weekend, we’re celebrating 5 years of The Wandering Witch - and the official grand opening of our new home in Williamsburg! ✨

Celebration, for us, isn’t about ignoring the world or pretending things are easy. It’s about marking milestones, honoring perseverance, and making space for joy alongside everything else we are carrying.

Over the course of the weekend, you’ll find:

• Tarot readings and energy check-ins at special event pricing
• Ritual offerings woven throughout the space
• Community gatherings and moments of connection
• Vendors and local artisans
• A chance to experience our new shop and what’s taking root here

This is a weekend meant to be wandered. You don’t need a plan or a reason to come - just curiosity, or the desire to be somewhere that feels warm, connected, and intentional.

Today marks five years of The Wandering Witch.

Five years of learning how to build something rooted in care instead of urgency.
Five years of choosing community over convenience.
Five years of showing up - imperfectly, honestly - with integrity and intention.

This space has held grief and joy side by side.
It has witnessed beginnings and endings, reckonings and rebirths.
It has been a sanctuary, a threshold, and a living hearth for so many.

None of this exists without the people who walk through these doors, gather around these tables, and choose to tend to this space with us. Your presence, your trust, your stories, and your care are what have shaped The Wandering Witch into what it is today.

As we honor this milestone, we’re not just celebrating longevity - we’re honoring the kind of healing and growth that can only happen in relationship with one another.

Tomorrow night, we’ll be gathering - on the eve of our Grand Opening weekend in Williamsburg - to mark this moment together - holding gratitude for what has been and intention for what is yet to be.

The world is full of grief, hardship, and corruption right now.

We are being pummeled with that reality daily.

And still, it’s important to know - joy is allowed - even now, especially now.

Not as denial.
Not as toxic positivity or spiritual bypassing.
Not as something meant to erase the ache.

Joy can exist alongside grief.

In fact, without it, we often forget what it is we are fighting for when we imagine and work toward a better world.

Joy reminds us of what we love.
What we protect.
What we are trying to build.
What it is to be alive.

It doesn’t have to be loud.
It doesn’t have to be constant.
It can be brief, quiet, and deeply human.

Today we celebrate the soul who is woven into every fiber of this space - our founder, our anchor - the living embodiment of The Wandering Witch.

Sky, you hold this community with such integrity, courage, and care. You don’t shy away from the shadows - you sit with them, tend to them, and teach others how to do the same. You remind all of us that softness and strength are not opposites, that grief and joy can coexist, and that community is built through an enduring choice to keep showing up - even when things are hard, you are there because you believe that this space and the people in it are worth showing up for.

Because of you, this is not just a shop.
It is a hearth.
A threshold.
A place where people are allowed to be real, present, and authentically imperfect.

Even though winter weather has kept us from gathering in person, the hearth is still lit - and you are still welcome at the fire.

Today, we’re opening our Imbolc Community Hearth as a shared, living altar - a place to name what you’re releasing from the long dark of winter, and what small seeds of intention you’re planting as the light begins to return.

✨ To take part, share the following in the comments below:

We’ll lovingly add your words to our active communal altar and tend them throughout the day as part of our Imbolc observance.

This is a free, open offering - a way to stay connected, grounded, and held in community, no matter where you are.

Due to the winter weather in Hampton Roads this weekend, our shop is closed in-person, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still feel connected! So, we are moving our Imbolc Community Day online so we can still gather, tend the hearth, and honor this turning of the wheel of the year together. 🔥

While we won’t be meeting in person, the hearth is still warm and the flame is still lit - we’ve even created a few Imbolc-only offerings you can take part in from wherever you are.

Out of an abundance of care and caution, we’ll be closed this weekend due to incoming winter weather. The safety of our team and our community always comes first, even when it’s a hard call to make.

That said - Imbolc still lives on. 🌱

Our Imbolc Community Day offerings will be shifting to a virtual format, so you’ll still be able to honor the season, tend the flame, and gather in spirit from wherever you are. We’ll be sharing more details very soon, so stay tuned.

Thank you, always, for your patience, understanding, and the deep care you show this space and the people who hold it. We can’t wait to gather with you again - safely, warmly, and with intention.
