This week at The Wandering Witch is living altars, herbal wisdom, sound baths, new moon beginnings, the magic of salt, spring snacks for the little ones, herbal smoke cleansing, and a little chaotic good energy to close it out. 💜✨🌱

We’re embodying the sacred, learning the plant allies that have always been in our kitchens, resetting our nervous systems with sound, gathering under the Aries New Moon to plant seeds of courage and fire, getting into the deep magic of salt, cooking up something sweet and intentional with our youngest witches, clearing the air with herbal smoke, and rolling dice with our community.

Introducing The Web - a new offering at The Wandering Witch rooted in something simple and ancient: the belief that we are stronger when we hold each other.

Every Wednesday, we open a space for our community to voice what they need - practical help, spiritual support, prayers, or something else entirely. No need is too small. No ask is too ordinary. You don’t have to carry it alone.

The Web lives in our Wednesday night circle and in our Facebook community group (The Wandering Witches) each week. Anonymous submissions are always welcome - just message us directly.

We are extending our Thrifty Witches community clothing swap through this Thursday, April 9th at 5:00pm to make sure everyone gets a chance to donate, browse, and take home something new to them. 💜

Have gently used clothing, accessories, or shoes you’re ready to pass along? Bring them in!
See something on the rack that’s calling your name? It’s yours.

This is community care in the most practical sense - giving what you can, taking what you need, and keeping good things in circulation. All leftover donations will go back into regional and local organizations that serve disenfranchised sections of our local communities (feel free to recommend your favorite local organizations in the comments - we do this event twice a year, and would love to have even more places we can donate things too!) 💛

This week, the cards built a lineage. A reckoning. A reminder of where we come from, what it cost to get here, and what we are being called to carry forward.

🗓 4/1 – Wolf + Snake (by Natalie)
Trust your gut, it knows something you don’t see quite yet. The snake sheds as she outgrows, ever growing, ever changing. The things you seek are waiting for you beyond the layers you need to release. Trust the discomfort. It’s your time to bloom.

🗓 4/2 – Green Man (by Lexi)
The Libra Full Moon pulled the truth out of you. And then the Green Man arrived - rooted, bold, undeniable - and said: now grow. Not someday. Not once things settle. Now. Positive transformations are already underway. Don’t block your own blessings by clinging to the illusion of control.

🗓 4/3 – The Storyteller (by Lexi)
Before you rush forward, listen. There is wisdom already in existence that was earned before you needed it. Growth doesn’t only move forward - sometimes it reaches back first, to gather what it needs to grow tall.

🗓 4/4 – Bibliomancy: The Wild Unknown Journal (by Lexi)
Spirit didn’t want a card. Three pages fell open. Three words landed. Link. Obstruct. Enliven. You are connected to more than you can perceive. Your path goes dark sometimes - but it doesn’t disappear. And the shedding? That’s not the end of the story. That’s how you come alive.

The knowledge you are gathering, the wisdom you are passing forward, it survived because someone refused to stop. Even under threat. Even at cost. Even in the fire. Power has always targeted the people who know things it cannot control, contain, or monetize. Community spaces like ours are a direct continuation of that lineage. You cannot contain or destroy a community that takes care of itself.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of being interviewed by one of the members of our community circle for a paper they are writing. Something I said in response to one of their questions has been echoing within me, and I feel strongly that there is a reason for that.

The question posed was about my relationship with spirituality, why it’s important to me, and why it’s important to the collective. This is a question I consider a core part of my practice - it is woven into the fabric of everything I do.

Our society is so obsessed with the idea that humans are separate from nature. We view that separation as a way of holding dominion over something and upholding a sense of superiority.

But the wisdom of indigenous cultures has always known and acknowledged something that the colonizer and oppressor are unwilling to accept - humans are as much a part of nature as the air we breathe, the trees that grow, the ground beneath our feet, the animals that scurry.

We are not separate or superior.
Our entire existence is a ripple effect.
We are just another nuance in the never-ending colors of creation.

The whole world travels with you in everything you do and everything you are.

We have been conditioned to see ourselves as separate observers moving across a landscape that exists independently of us.
As something that exists above nature rather than being woven into it.
But that has never been true.

You are not simply passing through the world.
You are part of its tapestry.
You are made of ancient water molecules,
sprinkles of stardust,
the bones of those who came before,
the whispers of ancient wisdom.

The web of creation holds us all -
linked together,
even in moments of darkness and obstruction,
enlivened by the very connections
that we have been conditioned to overlook.

We have never been separate.
We were just told we were.

And unlearning that lie
might be one of the most radical
and necessary acts of our existence
in a time such as this.

🕯️ Hearth Breath - Full Moon Exhale

If you’ve been feeling it this week - the tension, the emotions sitting closer to the surface than usual, the sense that something needed to be said or seen or released -
you’re not imagining it.

Sometimes the energy around us asks us to look honestly at our relationships, our boundaries, and the places where we’ve been quietly out of balance.

That’s not light work.
And it doesn’t always feel graceful while it’s happening.

But there are moments when the invitation shifts.
From looking closely to letting go.

You don’t have to have it all resolved.
You don’t have to have said everything perfectly or landed softly or figured out exactly what this week was trying to teach you.
You just have to be willing to exhale.
