❓Why we repeat what we don’t repair:

•Unhealthy patterns from childhood or past relationships can feel more comfortable and familiar than new, unfamiliar ones.

• Patterns passed down from one generation to the next because the trauma and issues are not healed.

• Dysfunctional behaviors may have once been a strategy to get needs met, such as for safety or love, and the brain continues to use them even when the unmet needs are no longer present.

❔How to repair what we don’t repair

• Take an inward look to identify and understand your personal patterns and where they may stem from.

• Confront the past because it’s crucial to stop avoiding or ignoring the root cause of your frustrations and pain.

• Seek help and work with professionals to process emotional wounds, develop new coping mechanisms
