At a recent community health fair, a man facing job loss and homelessness shared how difficult it had become to manage his chronic health conditions and depression.
Our team listened with compassion—and invited him to OTMDC.

He came into the center the very next week and is now an established primary care patient, is back on his medications, and receiving counseling support.

This is the power of compassionate, accessible healthcare
and why OTMDC is here for our community.

The patient expressed deep gratitude for the care he received and for being treated with dignity during a time when he felt most vulnerable.
Stories like his remind us why OTMDC exists—to be there when life becomes difficult or circumstances change or become uncertain. Olde Towne is here to assure access to care is never out of reach for the people who keep our community thriving!

Why should you get a flu shot?
It has already been reported that this is an exceptionally bad year for flu virus.
The flu vaccine significantly reduces your risk of getting the flu. And for those that contract the flu virus it reduces the length and severity of symptoms.
Getting a flu vaccine can mean the difference in time out of work or school, and reduces hospitalizations from flu complications.

It's not too late in the season. Get your flu shot today and increase your immunity in just 2 weeks. Increasing your ability to avoid the virus in the harsh winter months of the rest of January, February and March when flu virus is still high in our area.

Give Olde Towne a call today at 757.259.3258, to schedule your flu shot or visit a local pharmacy.

Have you thought about what your Legacy will be when you are gone?

It's a new year and with that brings new resolutions for many.
January is the most popular time of year to reevaluate your finances, your budget goals and any philanthropy you may want to participate in.

Planned Giving, like gift in will, stocks, real estate, DAFs or QCDs, allow donors to support causes that matter to them, like healthcare for those with significant barriers to care, and non-profits like OTMDC that help fill those gaps.

Planned giving can help donors maximize their community impact without any out-of-pocket cost today. This type of giving can help benefit your financial goals today, and in the future giving you and your family a lasting legacy that can impact the health of others for years to come.

To find out more, visit our website at otmdc.org or talk with your financial advisor.
Let your legacy be the gift of health.

Important Information for parents in particular. Harmful and even fatal drugs can find their way into your home and family. Educate yourself and your family to help stop the fentanyl crisis.

How would my child get fentanyl?
Drug traffickers are using social media to advertise drugs and conduct safes. If you have a smartphone and a social media account, then a drug trafficker can find you. This also means they are finding your kids.

It's that time of year...again.
You've seen family from far and wide over the holidays, you've gone back into work with people who have also been elsewhere and with others, and the weather is unpredictable, as usual.

So, what can you do to help keep yourself and others from getting sick??
Well, one way is to wash your hands. Wash them thoroughly with soap. And often.

Washing your hands before and after these everyday activities can help decrease your chances of getting sick or spreading a virus.

An extra effort of precaution can improve your chances of staying healthy this winter.

But if you do get sick, Olde Towne is here to help. Give us a call at 757.259.3258 to schedule an appointment.

Insured, Uninsured, Medicaid and Medicare Welcome.
