We’re honored to welcome Chef David Everett, Executive Chef and Owner of DoG Street Pub and Blue Talon Bistro, as a participating chef at the Elegant Culinary Affaire. A founding member of the event, Chef Everett has been involved since the very beginning, sharing, “I was one of the founding members along with Don Pritchard and have participated every year.”

With a career marked by excellence, Chef Everett earned AAA’s Five Diamond Award for nine consecutive years and the DiRoNA Award for ten years during his time at Ford’s Colony, before shaping downtown Williamsburg’s dining scene through Blue Talon Bistro, The Trellis, DoG Street Pub, Blackbird Bakery, and La Piazza.

For Chef Everett, this event is deeply personal. “The cause is essential to our community,” he says. “Giving back and raising funds for Hospice House is simply the right thing to do.” Having experienced hospice care with his own family, he adds, “The caregivers were compassionate and comforting during a very difficult time.”

We’re grateful to have Chef Everett share both his culinary talent and heartfelt commitment to this important cause.

The event will take place on January 25 at the Williamsburg Lodge from 6:00-10:00 pm. Limited tickets are still available. https://williamsburghospice.org/2026eca/

We’re honored to spotlight Chef Daniel Abid of Le Yaca Williamsburg as a participating chef at the Elegant Culinary Affaire. One of the original chefs at the Williamsburg location, Chef Abid’s talent in the kitchen, along with his leadership and dedication to mentoring young culinary professionals, helped establish Le Yaca’s respected reputation.

Born in Paris and raised in Normandy, he trained in classical French cuisine in Normandy before returning to Paris to work under renowned Michelin starred chefs Roger Vergé and Gaston Lenôtre, later drawing profound inspiration from legendary chef Alain Ducasse. In 1980, Chef Abid came to Virginia as the opening chef of Le Yaca under Madame Bourderau later serving as Chef of fine dining operations at Kingsmill Resort before returning to Le Yaca in 2000 as owner and chef, a role he proudly holds today.

For Chef Abid, great food is about care, connection, and creating meaningful experiences that bring people together and serve the community he calls home, a belief reflected in his more than fifteen years of support for Elegant Culinary Affaire. “I have been inspired by the opportunity to use my passion for food to support a meaningful cause,” Chef Abid said, “Witnessing the dedication and commitment of everyone involved year after year has made this cause especially meaningful to me.”

We’re thrilled to have Chef Abid share his culinary expertise with our community on this special evening.
