Brooklyn reopening and Catskills satellite
Dear Community,
After almost two decades in Williamsburg, Brooklyn I decided on a sabbatical while finding our next location for Bae Acupuncture. I had the opportunity to visit about 10 countries in the last four months - including Tibet, China, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Sardinia, Greece, London and several U.S. locations.
I needed some time for self-care and rejuvenation, with loved ones and dear friends. It was one of the most rewarding choices of my life, and I felt touched by life in the deepest way. I am feling renewed and ready to re-engage with a passion.
I have to say, while in China and Tibet I glimpsed the roots of the medicine I practice - particularly in the land, food and climate - as well as the culture. Somehow, all the things I am deeply committed to - such as traditional healing, yoga and meditation - were deeply revolutionized by witnessing them in their cultures of origin.
My approach to all these areas - as well as a commitment to their more public-facing and institutional expressions - is transformed and I will live and practice them differently.
I write to you from California, and next week Vermont. Then I'll be back with a soft reopening in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Just a few days a week, and a few upstate at a Catskills satellite.
Strangely, I used Chinese medicine more on my daily travels than I could have ever imagined - from small emergencies, to distinct insights into how a life guided by traditional medical principles can be a game changer.
This is especially so with regard to preventative and longevity medicine.
I have to say, I missed sorely meeting with all of you and the lovely people and families around mental health, pregnancy and fertility. Email drjamesbae@gmail.com to set up an appointment
