Each week, our Arc of Abilities (AoA) Day Program utilizes floral donations from Trader Joe's and turns them into beautiful arrangements to spread joy and beauty.

After assembly of the arrangements, the team at Arc of Abilities delivers them to Commonwealth Senior Living and to other community members. Arc of Abilities members do an outstanding job along with assistance from Instructors and AoA Volunteers like Allison (pictured in pink shirt)!

We thank them for representing The Arc in this beautiful way and for sharing their time and beautiful creations with so many.

Today we're sharing photos from the 25th Annual William & Mary Fraternity & Sorority Life Arc Spring Carnival from March 29th in the Sunken Garden. We thank staff from William & Mary’s Fraternity & Sorority Life - Charlie Presar, Alexa Gerling, and Madison Goduti - as well as the amazing student leaders from William & Mary’s various Greek councils. The Carnival was also made possible thanks to well over 150 student volunteers who served as buddies for the event, participating in games and community with Arc clients. Music was performed by Cover Charge.

Event photos are courtesy of The Arc and Katie Warner, University Photographer.

Nina Workman from Girl Scout Troop 1445 personally raised $120 to purchase Girl Scout cookies to donate to The Arc of Greater Williamsburg. This is the second year in a row that Nina has delivered this one-of-a-kind donation, which is shared with Arc clients at daytime and evening programming. Last year's donation was courtesy of her entire Troop and this year it was continued by her own individual goal. We thank Nina for being a friend to The Arc and for her SWEET support!

We were joined by our friend Christina Westenberger for a program on the history of Patriotic Symbols, in anticipation of our country’s 250th celebration this year! Christina joined us from The Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg and led an informative and enthralling presentation about patriotic symbols and art throughout the years. At the end, all of us had the opportunity to follow along and create our very own renditions, too! We thank Christina for her dedication to art education and teaching, and for her support of The Arc’s programs.
