In May, we proudly launched our Vets for Vets group, bringing together younger military Veterans with our resident Veterans and spouses. 💙

It's a time of great connection, fellowship, and honor, and we look forward to hosting them monthly!

One of the ways that we celebrated Memorial Day was by creating a beautiful American Flag themed painting in acrylics called, “A Patriotic Sky.” 🇺🇸 💙

Everyone is loving our twice monthly paint classes and really learning how to hone our new craft!

Ms. Judy, our resident oil painter, even attended and joined our short lesson on the differences between oil painting and acrylic painting. 🎨🖼️

Using the Merlin Bird ID app, we were able to bird watch in style in our Sweet Memories neighborhood! 🐦🦅

The app listens for different bird sounds and tells you which birds should be found in the skies based on those sounds, and then we’re able to search for and locate them. 🤳

It took bird watching to a whole new level!

All year, students from The College of William and Mary have joined our residents for some fun intergenerational bonding. 👏

Whether it was assisting with programs or just spending quality time with them, we've so enjoyed having them around.

They wanted to put together an end of year party for our residents and brought with them delicious food, catchy music, and a great time.

It was a beautiful day for it and our residents really enjoyed themselves. We will definitely miss our volunteers and can’t wait to host them again in the fall! 🔜🍍
