WindsorMeade’s celebration of National Skilled Nursing Care Week was truly in full bloom. Inspired by this year’s theme, “Moments in Bloom,” residents, families, and team members enjoyed a week filled with joyful experiences and special touches that made each day memorable.

Our talented Executive, Chef Naomi, delighted residents with beautiful fruit bouquets and sweet treats that added both creativity and celebration to the week. We also enjoyed visits from a charming petting zoo, bringing wonderful moments of connection. Gardening seminars encouraged learning and hands-on engagement while celebrating the beauty of growth and new beginnings.

These shared experiences reflect the heart of the WindsorMeade community, where compassion and thoughtful moments continue to flourish each day. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this week so meaningful for our residents and families. 🩺

During the month of May, WindsorMeade is proudly showcasing the remarkable artwork of resident artist Martha.

Born into a family of painters, Martha credits both her mother and grandfather with shaping her artistic journey. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art History and continues to pursue her art education to this day.

Martha is especially drawn to beautiful landscapes and waterscapes. Coastlines, sunsets, sunrises, and tranquil waterfront views most often inspire her work. Through her paintings, she hopes to evoke a sense of stillness and calm while reminding viewers that the beauty of ordinary moments can become extraordinary when we allow them to resonate with us.

Her favorite piece in this month’s gallery showcase is a stunning triptych depicting a marina in Chatham, Massachusetts, with a breathtaking sky that takes center stage. Working in a realistic style, Martha often paints in stages, keeping four to five pieces in progress at a time.

Formed in 2004, the internationally acclaimed duo has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Africa. Cellist David Gee and pianist Lynne Mackey brought their remarkable artistry, passion, and musicianship to WindsorMeade creating a memorable experience for all in attendance.
