For seven years, my mother has received Home Health care and support for her dementia. In the past, my mother has had many caregivers along the way; however, none have been as skilled, patient and caring as Ms. Heide. Ms. Heide continuously responds to my mother in a kind, respectful and jovial tone at all times. My mother maintains difficulty in sequencing her physical movements (e.g. getting up or down from a chair); it is common place for Ms. Heide to talk to my mother through using straightforward and focused language, often repeating directions and never losing patience. Ms. Heide will frequently talk to my mother and crack jokes throughout the day. She knows my mom's favorite things and will monitor and let me know when my mom needs a favorite item or a piece of clothing. My mother has never had a fall in Ms. Heide's care even though she is prone to doing so. In addition, my mom's health has been well maintained with Ms. Heide's support in ensuring that her medications are distributed with 100% accuracy and timeliness! With Ms. Heide, I have never had to worry or second guess the care that my mom is provided.
In short, Ms. Heide is just naturally a phenomenal woman who demonstrates well above average caretaking skills. Ms. Heide cares for her clients like she would for her own family and makes my mom's days (even the most difficult of them) as happy and productive as possible.
