Adria Vanhoozier, who has served as president of RDHW since 2016, has been promoted to Vice President of System Financial and Operational Integration for Riverside Health.

We are incredibly grateful for Adria’s leadership and the lasting impact she has made here in Williamsburg.

As Adria transitions into her new role, Stacey Johnson, current president of Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center, has been named the new President of RDHW.

We’re excited to welcome Stacey and continue building on the strong foundation of care our team provides every day.

Last week, about 1,700 runners laced up for the Christmas Town Dash at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Riverside Health was right there with them!

This year, our team didn’t just cheer from the sidelines. Sports medicine physician Dr. Stephanie Giammittorio joined the runners on the course, bringing her passion for movement and community right into the heart of race day. 🏃‍♀️

Alongside our dedicated clinicians and staff who provided expert care and support, Dr. Giammittorio helped ensure every participant felt safe, strong, and encouraged from start to finish.

We’re honored to be part of this beloved community tradition and proud of our Riverside team for showing up with energy, expertise, and plenty of holiday spirit.🎄

🎉 Nurses Week 2025 at Riverside Doctors' Hospital was filled with celebration and appreciation! 🎉

The nurse team proudly celebrated a few of their amazing colleagues with the DAISY Team Award Ceremony, shining a spotlight on the extraordinary skill, compassion, and dedication they bring to healthcare every day.

In addition, the nurse team paid tribute to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, by honoring her legacy with a fun Florence Nightingale cutout displayed around the hospital. Florence’s pioneering work during the Crimean War revolutionized patient care and laid the foundation for modern nursing, continuing to inspire nurses today.
