We’re honored to share that Drs. Henry & Jade Ranger have been selected as featured speakers for the 2025 MPECrx Conference in New Orleans this October. ✨

As pharmacists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, we don’t take lightly the responsibility of serving as mentors, advocates, and role models in our profession. To be able to share our story and lessons learned with fellow pharmacy owners and visionaries is truly a blessing—and a reflection of the power of resilience, authenticity, and purpose.

Movement is medicine! You don’t need fancy equipment or a gym membership to keep your body strong—just a few minutes a day can make a big difference.

✨ Try this quick mid-day reset:
• 10 squats
• 10 push-ups (wall or knee push-ups count!)
• 20-second plank
• 30-second stretch

Repeat 2–3 times and you’ve boosted your mood, circulation, and energy—no prescription required. 🏃🏽‍♀️💚

🌙✨ It’s 10 o’clock at night. We had just gotten back from dinner, but instead of calling it a day, Henry headed back to the pharmacy. Why? To make sure a hospice patient preparing to transition had the medication they needed—without delay.

Being a pharmacist means more than counting pills—it’s about building relationships, ensuring safety, and serving as a trusted resource for patients, families, and caregivers. Whether it’s answering questions, solving challenges behind the scenes, or making sure our most vulnerable patients never miss a dose—we’re here for it all.

🚨 COVID-19 Vaccine Update 🚨

With today’s breaking news about CVS and other chains holding off on offering COVID vaccines in Virginia and several other states, we want our community to know: The Prescription Shoppe will not backtrack.

We anticipate having the new updated COVID vaccines in stock by September 15th, and we’ll be offering it on a walk-in basis, Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. No appointments. No prescriptions.

As one of the very first pharmacies in Williamsburg to receive the original COVID-19 vaccine back in January 2021, we saw firsthand the impact it had in opening our community—and the world—back up.

What’s happening nationally may be political, but here in Williamsburg, our commitment is clear: we believe in science, we believe in keeping our communities safe, and we will continue to uphold that commitment to the very best of our ability. 💚

That’s why we are proud to share that one of our owners, Dr. Jade L. Ranger, is serving as Chair for an upcoming event that addresses a critical topic affecting our youth: teen mental health and su***de prevention.

Join us for UNMASKED: Breaking the Silence, Healing Our Teens on Tuesday, September 23rd from 6–8 PM at the James City County Recreation Center. This evening will feature open dialogue, teen voices, a professional speaker, and resources designed to help families and teens ages 10–18 navigate these important conversations together.

This event is free and open to the public, and we strongly encourage families to come out and be part of this life-changing discussion.

💪🏾 Workout Wednesday 💪🏾

This past weekend we celebrated Henry’s 39th birthday at one of our favorite restaurants in town, Masala Craft owned by our dear friends. But we weren’t just celebrating another year of life—we were celebrating a commitment.

Henry made the decision to take control of his health in the midst of raising a family and running a small business. For a while, his physical exams showed borderline results, and his doctor even warned that if things didn’t improve, he might need to start on a statin for cholesterol.

Instead of ignoring the warning signs, Henry chose to make a change. He committed to working out five days a week and completely revamped his diet. The result? His most recent bloodwork came back with the best numbers he’s had in years—a complete turnaround! 🙌🏾

This is your reminder that working out isn’t just about looking fit—it’s about living well. One day at a time, one choice at a time, you can reverse the course of your health.

Not sure who needs to hear this today, but here’s your sign: stop making excuses and start making the commitment. Your health is not an expense—it’s an investment. And the results are absolutely priceless. ❤️
