Happy National Occupational Therapy Month 💙

Our OT team here at Homewood does so much more than “therapy.” They’re the ones helping residents get back to the little things—buttoning a shirt, making a cup of coffee, getting back to a favorite hobby.

Between them, Debra, Jacob and Carrie bring 29 years of combined experience, and it shows in the way they meet each resident where they are—with patience, creativity, and a lot of encouragement.

They find ways to make therapy feel like real life (and even a little fun)—using games, everyday routines, and whatever works best for each person.

And honestly, some of the best moments are the simple ones… when someone says, “I didn’t think I could do that again.”

They build real relationships with our residents and families, and celebrate every win—big or small.

We’re lucky to have them. 💛

For 42 years, Dr. Metzner has been a steady, familiar presence here at Homewood Living Williamsport—and we honestly can’t imagine this place without him.

As our Medical Director, he brings not just experience, but a level of care that’s hard to put into words. He knows his patients personally, takes the time to truly listen, and has a way of making both residents and families feel at ease—especially during the moments that matter most.

He’s the kind of doctor who’s always there, taking call around the clock, showing up when he’s needed, and doing it all with compassion (and yes—always very well dressed).

Dr. Metzner also knows it takes a team. He respects and appreciates our staff, and that shows in the way he works alongside them every day.

We’re incredibly lucky to have him.

What a great afternoon at our Art for Life show 🎨

A big thank you to our resident artists for sharing their work with us. The talent in this community never ceases to amaze us, and it was so special to see the chapel filled with creativity and conversation.
