Named for a man who discovered our natural mineral springs, and
created one of the nation’s first public parks, we have long believed in
the healing value of faith and the rejuvenating power of nature. From these springs grew a town where women were educated, businesses grew
and textiles were rolled off the line. Our fabric is our family, faith, friends, and the arts and
architecture that weaves authentic richness into the place we call home. Although many call us a bedroom
community, we aren’t satisfied with that, and we have crafted a vision
of our own prosperous future. We want our focus to continue to
include the dining room, family room, and the class room. Williamston

The Christmas Park is one of our longest and most loved traditions. Local businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals take time, money, and effort to add Christmas Displays to our park to make it a Must-See sight for many during the holiday season! ✨

NOTICE: The Public Hearing for the proposed re-zoning of 13 acres on Whilden Drive and Tripp Street has been removed from the agenda of the special called council meeting scheduled for Friday, December 5 at 2:00pm. Instead, it will be on the agenda of the next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 6:00pm.

Updated notices will be sent to surrounding property owners and published in The Journal prior to that time.

🎅🏼 SANTA NOTICE: Santa will not be in the park tomorrow, Thursday, December 4th as he has other Christmas duties in Anderson! He will, however, be there in the park on Friday!

🎊✨ Christmas Festivities Update! ✨🎊

After consulting with our amazing staff and volunteers, we have made the decision to proceed with today's Christmas celebrations! The market in the auditorium at town hall opens at 2. The parade kicks off at 5 and is followed by our magical Winter Wonderland at 6:30 PM.

Given the logistics, rescheduling is simply not feasible. The silver lining is that the chance of rain should lessen after 5 PM! Be sure to bundle up in your warm coats and bring your umbrellas just in case!

Can’t wait to celebrate the season with all of you!
