Last call for the basic CPR class Saturday, 3/23 @ 10:00AM at the Community Center at Lake Secession. There are 3 spots left. The class is $15.00/per person and will last about 2.5-3 hours. Come join in some fun while learning an important skill!

The American Heart Association:
In celebration of American Heart Month, the American Heart Association is urging every family in the US to join the Nation of Lifesavers™ by learning CPR to help us reach our goal of doubling the survival of cardiac arrest by 2030. We know that in order to save more lives from the 350,000 cardiac arrests that occur outside of the hospital every year, we must increase the number of people who respond to cardiac arrest by calling 9-1-1, delivering high-quality CPR, and getting and using an AED as soon as it is available.

Just a reminder - HeartAid CPR LLC is offering an American Heart Association Friends and Family CPR course Saturday, February 17th at 9:30 AM at a special rate of $30.00/per couple at the Lake Secession Community Center - 2443 Lake Secession Rd. Iva SC. The class limit is 16 and you must register by Saturday February 3rd.
The Friends and Family course covers administering CPR, AED use and relieving a choking victim of any age. You will have practice time on an adult and infant manikin.
My husband and I are both American Heart Association CPR Instructors under AnMed's Training Center. We established HeartAid CPR LLC in 2013.
As I nurse I know the importance of knowing CPR, using an AED, how to relieve choking and the willingness to administer help in an emergency. It is especially important for the safety of your family/ friends, for the babysitter , lifeguards and anyone living on or spending time on the lake.
I equate this knowledge with donating blood. When you donate blood - most likely it will not be used that day - but it is so important to have on hand when the need arises! Always best to be prepared!

Let's get prepared together! My dream is having the majority on our lake prepared and willing to assist in an emergency!
