When did worship become ordinary?
Somewhere between the routine and the ritual the wonder slipped away.

But Psalm 96 won't let it stay ordinary.

It opens with a new song.
Builds the case for praise.
And lands here - in the beauty of holiness.

"O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness:
fear before him, all the earth."
— Psalm 96:9

Not a routine.
Not a ritual.
A response.

To the One who sang creation into existence.
Who rose from the dead.
Who comes in truth.

Sing Him a new song.
Worship in the beauty of holiness.
All the earth.

The world doesn't look very peaceful.
War. Division. Strife.

From every direction.
On every screen.

But the King is still speaking.

"He shall speak peace unto the heathen:
and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea,
and from the river even to the ends of the earth."
— Zechariah 9:10

The same chapter that announced His arrival on Palm Sunday now declares His reign.

The weapons are cut off.
The battle bow broken.

He speaks peace.
From sea to sea.

To the ends of the earth.

Peace.

Honored to be part of another Stockbridge Town Hall Players production! I cannot wait until next weekend!

and today it's personal.
Today is National Sibling Day. And I can't let it pass without talking about two people who changed everything for me -- Karin and Phil .

Before Spirit Led Creative. Before the Daily Blessing Reminders and the small-batch products and the Shoreline Journal. There was Spirit Led Photography. And driftwood art. And a girl who wasn't sure any of it was worth pursuing.

My brother and sister-in-law saw something I couldn't see in myself yet. They encouraged me to keep going. To not put down what God had placed in my hands. To trust that the creative calling was real...even when it felt small. Even when it felt uncertain.

I don't know that Spirit Led Creative exists without them.

The photography became the products. The products became the devotional. The devotional became the Daily Blessing Reminders. And all of it - every single piece - traces back to a season when two people said to do it and keep going.

If you have someone like that in your life - someone who saw you before you saw yourself - tell them today.

And if you've been the one needing someone to say it to you - I'll say it right now.
Keep going. What's in your hands is not an accident.

What if you're not just saved? What if He didn't just rise out there?
Most of us treat the resurrection as something that happened.

A historical event.
An external reality.

But Romans 8:10 says something different.

"If Christ be in you...the Spirit is life because of righteousness."
— Romans 8:10

Not just a historical event.
Not just an external reality.

He lives in you.
The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is living in you right now.

The resurrection didn't just happen out there.
It lives in here.

Some evenings just need a flame.
Not for a reason. Not for a holiday. Just because the day was long and the room is quiet and something warm and steady is exactly right.

"To cause the lamp to burn always."

Gone.

Death lost its keys on Easter morning.

He didn't just rise.
He took them.

This is Jesus speaking...not from history, not from memory...but right now, in present tense, to you:

"I am he that liveth, and was dead;
and behold, I am alive for evermore —
and have the keys of hell and of death."
— Revelation 1:18

Alive.

Present tense.
Right now.
For evermore.

He isn't speaking from the past.
He is alive this moment.

Death has no keys.
Hell has no hold.

He is alive forevermore!

Where have you been looking for Him?
The women arrived at the tomb expecting death.

Spices in hand. Grief in their hearts.
Ready to anoint a body.

But the tomb was empty.
And the question that met them
changed everything:

"Why seek ye the living among the dead?
He is not here — but is risen."
— Luke 24:5-6

He is not where you left Him.
The tomb is empty.

The grave could not hold Him.
Death has been defeated.

Stop looking for the living among the dead.

He is risen!
He is alive!
He is here!
