✨ Reminder: Retinol doesn’t mix with…
❌ Benzoyl Peroxide – deactivates retinol + causes irritation
❌ AHA/BHA acids (glycolic, lactic, salicylic) – over-exfoliation alert 🚨
❌ Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) – competing pH = unhappy skin
❌ Physical scrubs – barrier damage waiting to happen
❌ Harsh toners (alcohol, witch hazel heavy formulas)

✔️ Retinol loves:
ceramides, peptides, niacinamide, gentle cleansers, and SPF (non-negotiable ☀️)

When using any of the above products either use in the morning regimens or on non retinol nights 🩷🩷🩷

Every first-time dermaplaning client asks the same thing: “Will my hair grow back thicker?”
Short answer: No.

Dermaplaning removes vellus hair (peach fuzz), which is soft and fine. The blade doesn’t change your hair follicle, hormones, or growth cycle—so the hair grows back the same texture, color, and thickness it always was.

It may feel different at first because the tip is blunt instead of tapered, but thicker? Darker? Coarser? Not possible.

🚫 Why you should skip the workout after a facial

After a facial treatment, your skin is in a heightened state of activity. We’ve increased circulation, stimulated cell turnover, exfoliated dead skin, and often infused active ingredients deep into the skin. While that’s amazing for results, it also means your skin is temporarily more sensitive and reactive.

When you work out too soon after a facial, several things happen:

• Excess heat and sweat can irritate freshly exfoliated skin
• Sweat can push bacteria and salt into open pores
• Increased blood flow can intensify redness and inflammation
• Active ingredients may become irritating when mixed with heat
• Healing and barrier repair can be delayed

This is especially important after treatments like chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, enzymes, or advanced facials where the skin needs time to calm, repair, and rebalance.

Think of your post-facial window as recovery time for your skin — just like you wouldn’t do a heavy workout right after a medical treatment, your skin deserves the same respect.
