About Cayuga Flow

Brooke is a certified 500 level yoga instructor trained in Classical Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Iyengar/Wall Yoga. She has been trained to work with individuals with disabilities and limited movement under the direction of Matthew Sanford from Mind Body Solutions through the University at Buffalo. She received her Iyengar and Wall Yoga training through the direction of Bryan Legere in Oregon.

Additionally, Brooke is trained in Mindfulness Meditation practice and is an Ayurveda Specialist Practitioner. Brooke provides Ecotherapy and environmental awareness for her clients on outdoor retreats exploring with yoga, meditation, and ecology hikes. The practice of Ecotherapy is connecting us to nature, to unite with our “inner” nature. Brooke has also designed a creative arts yoga program taught at Impact Artists Gallery, using mixed media and creative writing infused with yoga and meditation.

Brooke Ayoub grew up in Western New York and graduated from the University at Buffalo with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Counseling. She has spent over a decade interacting with area environmental affiliations. Brooke has assisted the Western New York Environmental Alliance with organizing meetings for their outreach campaign to member organizations and has written about the wonderful outdoor places in WNY for their website GrowWNY. Since 2008, she has been a water testing and a shoreline sweep captain with the Buffalo Niagara Riverkeepers and has been an advisor to area high school students in the New York State Envirothon. In 2004, Brooke began volunteering with Earth Spirit Educational Services by organizing outdoor ecology classes for area school children and later began to work for Earth Spirit teaching in area schools for Earth Day events.

Brooke received her certification at the Himalayan Institute of July 2018. She also has her Master’s degree and certification in Rehabilitation Counseling from Auburn University and will be attending the University at Buffalo for Mental Health Counseling in Fall of 2018, receiving certification in both Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. When she is not doing yoga, Brooke is volunteering as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence, r**e, and sexual assault through Crisis Services.
